Vehemently, sir!

I feel you. I was Mr. T Star when I was at A&M. My favorite alltime Aggie piece of clothing is my T Star visor. But I have had some graduate level marking classes since then and they all made it clear to me Cook did the right thing.

The marketing side of myself applauds the unified branding effort.

The fashionable side of me chafes at the loss of the T Star.

And I'm not even gonna crack open the pandora's box of bevel/no bevel...

What box it's no bevel nuff said.

And yeah I get the T star and I liked it but it's just doesn't say Texas A&M to anyone who didn't attend, grow up in Brazos Co, or have some relationship with the school, so I feel they did the right thing

I feel you. The block ATM sucks as a logo. It looks bad on cheap apparel more often than not, if it gets stretched for use on things like coffee cups (or even just to fit into ESPN's pre-rendered Sportscenter graphics) it looks even worse.

Heck, that is part of the reason I am against the bevel (other than it looks like 1999)- it stretches like crap.

But it is ours, it is us. We have to own it and deal with it as is. Sometimes you get lucky when past decisions go right or vice versa. The logo is unfortunate, but from a branding angle it is awesome we stuck to the A&M rather than becoming Texas State.

The bevel drives me nuts because it is not correct.

Never got the big deal about bevel hate/love. Honestly, I never even noticed it until the idiots at TA pointed it out.

I truly do not give a frick one way or the other about the damn bevel

Gun to my head, I choose the bevel because it's been that way for most of my life and while I was in school.

But it never really crossed my mind that it was even a "debate" until I joined TA both look fine to me

What I don't get about the bevel is why you would just bevel the "T" and not the "A" or "M". Looks dumb to me. I say all or nothing...

I also thought the T-Star was cool.

Speaking of marketing, I think what would be cool idea is a special helmet with two sides being the two sides of the Aggie Ring. The star wreath on one side and the cannon/sabre on the other.

Somebody would find a reason to be pissy about it, but I like the idea too.
