Who do you see taking the last 5 spots?

David Sanders is the biggest target on the board with a Tennessee lean. It looks like a tOSU Vols and Nebraska race.

Josh Petty is another 5* that UT is in the running for but this one feels like a long shot with the Vols needing to catch up.

Jadon Perotte is UGA 4* LB that has been looking around and is getting predictions to the Vols as a likely flip

Shekai Mills-Knight is a composite 4* RB that would likely be the 2nd RB taken if the Vols don’t go portal for the spot.

And it looks like Da'Saahn Brame has flipped to the Vols as of this morning

THE BIGGEST LOSER

The Puppies as they wanted to slow our momentum so bad with that sham witch hunt investigation.

If we can hold this class together, and add a couple more elite recruits. We can finish in the top 3 in recruiting.

Of course every time someone commits to us, they seem to lose a star suddenly.

You better believe Georgia was behind it. UGA president Jere Morehead used his position on the NCAA committee to get the investigative ball rolling.

Georgia may be dirtier than Nick Saban's Alabama, if that's possible.

Sanders will be a Vol. Go read the thread on Volnation about him, if you haven't.

I will be very disappointed if he isn’t based on some stuff I’ve been told. It’s just waiting for it to be official. I was mildly surprised we lost the DB to LSU but other than that and 1 LB that wants to stay out west it’s been a very solid class.

It didn't make any sense when the NCAA said we were a model program in NIL and then this happens.

The smart ones figured out the puzzle and the real perpetrators.

There's absolutely no reason for us to get out bid on any player. If a player wants to stay in a certain region, or attend certain school, I can understand that. At this point it is totally unacceptable for another school to outbid us on money.

Selective use of NIL means we make it easier to go to Tennessee. They are not buying 5* classes but if a guy fits the system and doesn’t come here, it’s not because of NIL.

Josh seems to be very cerebral about his recruiting. He seems to pick need over recruiting hype. As you stated, he would rather get a four-star that fits the system and is needed, rather than a five star just to say he got a five star.

Yep.

Sanders will be a Vol = Sanders is a Vol.

Spots are filling up quickly. 23 public commits and a decent overall rating. I’ll take it.

I tried to temper my excitement a little bit with these long-term commitments. There's so much tampering going on these days. There is no telling what this kid is going to get offered under the table that we
will have to beat.

A commitment just doesn't mean as much as it did at one time. So many of these young guys commit then decommit then commit over again. I don't count on anything until Signing Day and their name is on the paper.

There was speculation that he was thinking of flipping.

Good foreshadowing call!

I want us to go after some 5 star DBs. That has been our weakness forever.

We need some Terry McDaniel and Dale Carter types.
