how stupid could you be? LSU had one "down" class, last yr.
Even last year was not a down year. It is full of guys who were mis-evaluated or flat out ignored by Rivals. For example, I would put Travin Dural up against any WR that Bama signed last year. Only time will bear that out (unless you are the tard Bama fan who has already declared the LSU 2012 class a bust before they've stepped on campus).
I am confident in the way that LSU is signing players that fit the system we run. Deion Jones, a lowly 3 star who is a demon at LB'er, will be a better player in LSU's system than Denzell Duvall would have been. One has 3-stars next to his name, one has 4-stars...big fricking deal.

Has nothing to do with stars. I've already stated LSU signed a nice LBer class last year.
LSU doesn't have same cabliber of recruiting staff it used to have. Larry Porter was the best recruiter LSU has had post Saban. He is gone. Miles hired Chavis who is well known for his lack of recruiting. Without Lyles LSU has not been as active in TX. The results have showed the last two recruiting cycles.
Its my opinion that it will show on the field after the 09 class graduates and the 2010 class defects for the draft.
I read the rant and LSU recruiting board the last two yrs and it been doom and gloom from the majority of the posters.
So its not a one person opinion many Tiger fans have expressed the same concerns.

Wilson is better than Porter (who also was a fricking horrible RB coach which i didnt even know was possible). But the rest is pretty true. Miles brought in old lazy white BBQ buddies to tell him when to call timeouts and how a clock works and shite instead of getting recruiters. Its fine that Kragthorpe only recruits QBs and that Chavis doesn't do much recruiting, but when you have coordinators that barely recruit and top that off with a fricking 60 year old white guy coaching TEs and a fat slob 50 year old white guy coaching OL then you are in trouble. Add to that, Billy Gonzales was a total fricking dud as a recruiter when he came in billed as a hot shot. Ron Cooper was a beast at DB coach and at evaluating and landing DB recruits at camp but he didn't do any recruiting outside of that.
So, you basically had Cooper getting his DBs, Haley chasing national DL prospects and Wilson left to recruit everybody else while Miles' BBQ buddies sit on their asses half the year. At least now, Gonzalez is replaced by a guy who recruits and Raymond looks like he will be a good recruiter, so you have 4 recruiters instead of 2.

LSU leads for the no. 1 prospect in TX for the '14 class as well as another of the top safties coming out that year. The truth is that LSU's presence in TX suffered when Miles replaced Porter w/ Gonzo and MacGaughey was re-establishing contacts after a decade in the NFL. Fortunately, it looks like he's fixed that situation going forward, although I don't expect you to have a clue about this.
The results have showed the last two recruiting cycles.

Are you really stupid enough to say that LSU's '11 class was average? The same class that already had several big contributers on last yr's team as true frosh and/or are set to start as sophmores?
quote:people were down on last yr's class, that is true, but to sit there and say LSU fans are acting like the recruiting has fallen off a cliff is flat out bullshite.

Thanks for an actual response. I think LSU has upgraded its coaching staff from a pure player development point. I think they sacraficed a little on the recruiting side. Wilson is a great recruiter, but I don't think he has the pull on OOS prospects like porter had. He has LA particularly N.O. on lock. I'll be looking to see the DB development without Cooper who was the best position coach in the SEC imo.
While LSU 2011 class has had some early contributors, but the class top to bottom was not one of Miles best Classes.
It reminds me of Bamas 2010 class. Which was not as good ad Sabans previous two.
We'll see going forward.

Seriously, where do you come up with this shite? The many players that have played are studs and the ones that haven't will be redshirt freshmen.

I'm not sure if he really believes half the shite he's running off, bc he's so obviously talking out of his arse.
Clearly the class that just had several true frosh contributers on a great LSU team was just top heavy.

If you think that 2011 class was great because it had 5 players contribute early so be it. Bama 2011 class had about 8 or 9 contributors with a much more veteran team than LSU had last year. They also got to red shirt some of beast Linenan. I see 3 really players from LSU 2011 class Freak,OBJ, maybe Collins can Develop into a tackle and not get stuck at G.
Just looking at hat class I don't see it being as talent as LSU two previous classes.

BhamDore Ive just come to the conclusion that you must be so enrinched with Alabama retard in your blood that you cant get beyond the fact that another team is just as good as yours.

Having more 4 and 5 star players doesn't mean one school out recruited another fwiw.

Ohhh I see now, Bama's redshirts are beastly studs, while LSU's are busts and scrubs Makes sense.
Trai Turner, Corey White, Ronald Martin, Jalen Collins, Quentin Thomas, Micah Eugene...familiarize yourself with those names because you will be hearing about them in the future.
2011 Bama looks like a beastly DL class but was weak on OL, WR, and CB. Every recruiting class has weaknesses and to call one class better than the other at this point is ignorant at best.

Next time dont make it so obvious when you are flaming. Hilliard was the best running back on a BCS NC team as a freshman. LSU is absolutely loaded at D end and Rasco got playing time once again as a true freshman. Also you do know the reason that Collins is stuck at guard is because there are players that are better than him at tackle because of you know our recruiting dont you? The 5 star number 1 OT cant step in on the field because of our depth chart.
