That has more to do with GA being a National brand than a regional brand now.

Auburn is mainly regional and needs Alabama and GA border cities to compete.

Riddick is a good pick up for Auburn and highly needed during this rebuild

sure he did.

ETA this story started circulating after it was pretty obvious he was picking Auburn. You can't make this shite up.

That quote came from an Alabama writer's tweet. Who knows if that is true or not. Until I see a direct quote from him from a credible source, and not a rivals tweeter account I'll chalk it up as a non issue and possible sour grapes.

I honestly don't know why people see something on twitter and take it as gospel. (No offense to you, Dragula, but think about it for a minute)

I don't have to, because you remember it. I called you out on it. I mistakenly said the DB y'all signed was not the #1 DB in Georgia, that Ellis Robinson was. When I realized that Robinson was playing at IMG I retracted my statement a full hour before you tried to call me out on it and a bunch of other Auburn poster put me on full blast.

Again, I retracted and apologized a full hour before you put tried to call me out on it.

Oh, what the heck. Here it is:

Wait. I am confused. What service are you looking at?

I can promise you he isn't the #1 CB in Georgia. Ellis Robinson is and I don't think that is even debatable.

ETA
AH! I see. I forgot that Robinson is going to IMG. My bad, and congrats again.

re: 4* Jayln Crawford commits to AuburnPosted on 7/15/23 at 7:06 pm to DawgsLife
No point in arguing with you. It’s over multiple sites as #1 so I am good.

That's when BigTastey decided to put his two cents in:
And you could have gotten it right the first time. The man didn't start anything with you. Heel dog.

And y'all want to say Georgia fans are insecure.

The Crawford thread? Go look at it again and feel bad for saying I led the way. Go see my one and only response in that thread, and it had nothing to do with you. Remember what you said, I led the way. I try really hard not to troll on this board and admit I sometimes cross that line. Not in that thread where you claim I did. Your beef is with others. I will expect your apology on your next response.

Just a reminder of your false claim

Typically, I agree, but it was Auburn fans that came at me flaming when I gave a sincere congrats on another commit for you. And you led the way

Hope you have a good day sir

He just flipped his commitment, that tells me he doesn't mind flipping again.

No point in any team celebrating any recruit until they sign the dotted line.

If a team gets the $$ right recruits will do summersaults before the Dec signing.

Auburn fans are well aware of the signing day flips. Of course we will show some celebration for him selecting Auburn. We also know this isn’t over till he signs.

Might flip back to UGA, but Saban and Bama have moved one. They don't want a guy who doesn't want to win and just have fun.

Well that’s not true. No matter how some people try to frame it after the fact. And I’m not blaming Tim Watts and BOL. I think the usual spoiled fans twisted his words.

Except every time a coach speaks, they seem to say that most NIL efforts are focused on current players.

And if you believe the Aggies, we offered Harold Perkins less than they did.

Good for auburn. Any time AU takes a legit 5 star away from Bama and Saban, it's a win for the rest of us.

Why would I do that when I literally just copied and posted it. Yes. You felt the need to correct me one hour after I had already admitted I was wrong and apologized. Then another AU fan decided to add an insult. Had you seen my apology and just skimmed over it no harm, no foul. But you felt the need to ignore the apology and correct me. That opened the flood gates of down votes and at least one insult from another Auburn fan.

quote:

Your beef is with others.

And with you. Again, if somebody posts something incorrect and then catches it, corrects it and apologizes for it, I usually don't feel a strong need or urge to call it out publicly and act like it didn't happen. When called on it , you didn't say, "Oops! I didn't see the correction!" you just faded out and let your fellow Aubies get at me.

quote:

Hope you have a good day sir

No, you don't.

ETA
Wow. 4 down votes. I'll never understand why people would rather down vote than have a serious discussion. Down vote and run. You can provide links, copy/paste, quotes, and if they don't like it, they don't discuss it....they down vote.

Nope. I mean if he decides on his own I'm sure we would take him. Who wouldn't? but we went after and got another guy that we are just as happy with. I suspect he is happy with his choice, as he should be and will stick with Auburn. It's a great get, and y'all are and should be very pleased with it.

Pappoe seemed a bit soft.

Pappoe wasn't "soft" per se. He's just one of those guys who is a camp all-star.

His athleticism is off the charts and he shines in combine drills. He's just not a great (He's decent) linebacker. The dude took so many false steps and bad angles and slow to react. But he was able to make up for that with athleticism where you're average guy who has those bad habits would never sniff the field.

He was a 4 year starter who was a solid player. He just never lived up to his 5 star recruitment hype because he either had bad coaching (which is true his last two seasons, not his first two), or just never grasped the mental side of linebacker at the college level.
