Maybe not a little over a year ago. Dude has a big head. Was abundantly clear in his arrest video that he thinks he is hot shite.

You know I considered that, but it hit me that the Volss played 13 games in 1997 (Mannings biggest year) and Bennett beat him by 300 yards. That's about a games worth of yards.
So, a player that Smokeyone considers subpar came extremely close to matching their best passing year ever. Yet, we have not seen good QB play. Bennett also ran for 200+ yards, so that almost evens it out, since Manning did not come close.
Add to that a National Championship and Tennessee lost their Bowl game and....well, maybe we should just leave it at that.

I will put this out there, and you can dismiss it or think about it.
1. He was drunk. A lot of people say things they normally would not say or do when they are drunk.
2. He showed an incredible lack of judgement doing something like that when he was supposed to be preparing for the draft.
3. I have played at several levels of football, and i can assure you that pretty much every successful QB has a bit of an outsized ego that borders on cockiness and overconfidence. It is pretty much required to do what they do.
4. Entitled? That insinuates he thinks he is owed something he does not deserve. He has had to fight for any kind of respect and a starting position from the time he came out of high school.
I think you can call him overconfident..say he used a lack of judgement...a lot of things. Entitled? Not really. has his shine come off of him? Probably somewhat. It will probably cost him in the draft. He will pay a price for his lack of maturity.

Like I said. Do what you will with my points. Consider them. Discard them. That's up to you. Just some thoughts.

If his name was Jaquan Bennett IV and was black with the same measurables and stats, he'd be considered an athletic QB and be talked about as the potential first pick in the draft.

Not saying it isn't true, but I saw one, put out by a notorious Vol poster right before the Tenn game, so please, tell me of these other instances that you seem to know so much about.
Personally, any team that is drafting Bennett as a backup is doing it wrong. His best trait is the clutch factor and that can really only be exploited to its fullest extent in a starter role. Now he may very well not make it as a starter in the NFL, and it wouldn't be surprising, but I doubt he will end up sticking with being a career back up. For Bennett, it is do or do not, there is no trying to stand on the sideline with a headset.
