Why is Tennessee baseball so douchey?

They have a great squad and great coaches, but they constantly feel the need to talk shite to whoever they are playing. I’d get it if it wasn’t an every week thing, but it is. It’s honestly embarrassing. I guess they think they are being edgy or something? Idk. I respect the hell out of Vitello as a coach, but the way his teams carry themselves is really tough to watch.

The shite talking is one thing but it’s the incessant bitching from Tennessee that takes them over the top.
Vitello was constantly bitching from the dugout, their catcher was constantly showing up the umpire on every strike he didn’t get and their hitters give the stupid mouth-open-look when they strike out looking.
I thought the Bear-sized-shite at shortstop running his mouth the entire series was pretty funny.

There is no college baseball team that acts like Tennessee does. I don't think my old arse has ever seen a baseball team act the way they do. I'm sure they love it. We loved when LSU basketball was seen as the bad boys. But, for anyone to sit here and act like another school does the same shite, that's just plain stupid.

A lot of college baseball is douchey. Which is odd, because the minor league players act like professionals. College players act like little league.

Their posters here have the same mentality.
The program has been great but that isn't good enough for them, they have to continually beat their chests and exaggerate their success, much like Lsustephen.
They do the same in football, Heupel has built a very solid program. That's not enough though, their quarterback is going to destroy everyone and win the Heisman every offseason, per them.
If you look up the statistics that someone like BigDickRick posts, he's usually lying 75% of the time.

I think I'm somewhere in between. I want to see enthusiasm and energy. I loved what Jared Jones did after his walkoff. But, I'd have a huge problem if he did that in a different situation where the game wasn't on the line. I love seeing pitchers get fired up after a big strikeout. I love a little celebration after a steal or a score as long as it isn't over the top.

If players acting like a bunch of prancing roided up cornballs is what it will take to make baseball more popular for the next generation, baseball is screwed in the long run.

The Georgia players with their shirts unbuttoned and 3 gold chains hanging off of them was ridiculous. Our coach won't even allow facial hair or long hair. It's kind of refreshing.

Perfect example in Game 1…
LSU batter in a 3-1 count thought he walked on the next pitch and started towards 1st base before the umpire called it a strike, which happens all the time.
Tennessee pitcher then visibly points at said batter and tells him to go back to the plate. The next pitch is a ball, so LSU batter looks at said pitcher as he heads toward 1st base and Vitello runs out of the dugout throwing a bitch fit because LSU “showed his pitcher up”
