And nobody is claiming that Bama wasn't the best team or didn't deserve the trophy. We are just telling you that the season as a whole will be remembered in the context of shutdowns, opt outs, cancelled and moved games, reduced practices, etc.
Once again, no Bama fan is denying how whacky the season was. But very little is being said to justify "muh asterisk."

Bama fans are not only denying all of that, but many are actually trying to claim that it somehow makes their season even more impressive. It's typical Bama fan shite, actually
Personally I don't agree with this idea. The main point is that Bama played the 2nd through 12th best teams in the SEC, plus a 1-loss Notre Dame team, and a well rested undefeated Ohio State team that just waxed Clemson all at quasi neutral site game. With that schedule, they went undefeated and had one opponent play them within 14 points. Our whole argument is that that makes a very legit champion

Fine. Enjoy it. Just don't get upset that it happened during "the COVID season."
Why should I? It happens every other year in Baton Rouge. It's happened every other year in Baton Rouge for a decade now. It has happened every other year in Baton Rouge for a 30 year stretch from 1970-2000, including 1992 when we actually went to Baton Rouge back to back to form divisions. Truth be told, LSU has only 5 wins against Alabama in Baton Rouge in the last 50 years.
COVID has nothing to do with that normalcy.

A big reason Bama clearly just completed the greatest regular season ever.
The recency bias and the media slob-job on the latest thing gives you a lot of comfort to say these things, but this same take in say 2030 (when CFB has returned to normalcy and 2020 season sticks out like a sore thumb) will be laughed at and clowned.
Your greatest team of all time had a 3-week bye in the middle of November....

How did LSU suck
You lost by 38 to Daddy Bama and went 5-5.

Tennessee will play an asterisk season each year for the next decade after NCAA penalties hit.
At worst even a bad Tennessee team puts 90,000 buts in seats at Neyland.

Yeah but the SEC was so strong this year according to every Bama fan. That’s why y’all didn’t play a top 50 passing defense right? Because the SEC just went off against each other and beat each other up.

We played 13 games instead of 15.
We played and beat 11 SEC Teams. Whipped most of them, save Florida and Ole Miss.
We played and whipped two of of he bluest blue bloods in the playoff.
So to "equal" LSU or any other prior champion we needed to play San Diego State or Mercer? I suppose our stats would have been even greater then...
Put an asterisk on it all you want. It a difficult season in its own right. All the talk about "having to play in hostile environments" is negated by "our opponents playing in an empty BDS."
PRINT. THE. SHIRTS. Bama's the GOAT.

You assume the retards have the brain capacity or self-realization to acknowledge the contradictions they walk right into.
Many of their opponents were dogshit, some had to work with limited rosters.....but it was also the toughest season EVAR!

When you call it the greatest regular season of all time, comparing it to the normal regular seasons of past champs, you are literally calling it a regular season....
Which is being countered by acting like a full Tiger stadium plus 2 great receivers not opting out would have made a serious difference in a game where Bama put up 45 points and 469 yards at halftime
Or that Ohio State missing two starting d-lineman for Covid would have offset being outgained by 300 yards and outscored by 30

It’s so sad. They were just eaten up by LSU 2019 glorious season. I mean you could see it in their posts. Like man you have six championships in 12 years why does our GOAT season matter to you so much?

Last Bama played LSU in Tiger Stadium with a full crowd and future #1 NFL draft pick they didn't score.

No one will even remember coronavirus in 10-15 years. They will look at history and see “Bama 2021 champs” simple as that

Two games is a lot in college football. Both for injuries, chances of losing, mental wear and tear.
