Title 9? That’s why I asked the soccer, wrestling, etc question weeks ago.

There wasn’t a whole lot of planning that went into what women’s sports the schools adopted. Basically, every sport that men played, save football, the schools also had a women’s team (swimming, golf, tennis, track, basketball). A&M had soccer and softball teams before Texas, which ended up adding those sports to settle a Title IX suit. I guess if one had added gymnastics, the other would have followed suit, but it just didn’t happen. By the time both schools were filling out their women’s sports portfolios, the main considerations were cost effectively adding as many participants as possible (so as to balance football numbers). I believe Texas went with crew (rowing) and A&M went with equestrian because they had large rosters and manageable costs.

Both schools have both men's and women's gymnastics. However, they both compete at the club level.
Wish they would promote the women's team to a full NCAA program.

Then it should be embarrassing that Texas leads all time vs OU in the 3 major sports. OU can't beat trannys!

Texas doesn't have a winning record vs OU in men's basketball. Since 1950 the modern era they don't vs OU in football either.

Texas has Equestrian for women which being in Texas I guess makes a little sense. They are also one for the 4 SEC teams that have rowing. So there have met the requirements for Title IX and must not want to sink additional money into a different sport - even though they tell us how rich they are.

Because it is not popular at either school. We would rather put our money into other women's sports.
