Nobody's ever "told me that" but it's always been understood.

The most talented athletes out HS want to play in the NFL so they typically go to schools that produce the most NFL talent, and those schools aren't Ivy League.

Doesn't have anything to do with their IQ. We sign guys all the time that have offers to high academic institutions (Cal, Stanford, Ivy etc)

Is that difficult to understand?

Why don't the Ivy Leagues produce NFL talent at a level with everyone else?

That was kind of the point of the thread; is that difficult to understand?

If you ever get a chance to go to an Ivy League football game, do it. It’s good football and the talent is good and the teams evenly matched. You will see a few guys in each team that are really good. And yes they do have a few guys go to the NFL.

But seriously.. “We ain’t come here to play school” might sound dumb, but dudes who know their skill/potential enough to get a free degree or become a multimillionaire off that skill, aren't as dumb as they sound.

Give me the average ACT score of the football team. I bet it’s below 21. In general football players are idiots that don’t belong in college.

It is widely assumed that stupid people are better football players than intelligent people. Why is this?

College football is a recruiting nuclear arms race farming system. You recruit as many good players as you can. You get the players you harvested. Some are as good as advertised. Some are better. Most aren’t as good as advertised bc recruiting isn’t an exact science. Most football players mass recruited are not intelligent individuals. Just like getting a mass group together randomly, you won’t find many intelligent individuals.

The best players are smart though. The best players in the NFL are smart. Ed Reed was smart. Ray Lewis, although a murderer and not a good person, was smart. Tom Brady was smart. Luke Kuechly was smart. The best are smart. You won’t see that in mass in college though.

Exactly like Leto, CajunBama. Leto is very stupid and simple and for many of us, is the perfect embodiment of auNeckery at its finest and most pure.

You’d be VERY surprised how well spoken the big guys generally are. We’ve been to a bunch of SEC recruiting events and it’s almost the opposite of what you say…these athletes generally aren’t the thugs or dumbasses you think they are.

A bunch of teachers get undergrad and graduate degrees dumping them into 6 figure debt for a degree that they should have known wasn't worth what they spent on it. I'm sure plenty had 30+ ACT scores. So who are the bigger dumbasses?

Joe Burrow and Jaden Daniels were smart because they decided to ditch their broke dick schools and come to LSU.
