Very few have that distinction baw. That is an award for serving as a combat infantryman in three separate and distinct conflicts (the badge plus two stars).
I have the Expert Infantry Badge (EIB).

When the SEC adds 4 more teams the new SEC teams will be better than the old.
FSU
Clemson
OU
UT
A&M
Ark
SC
UNC
Mizzou
VT
You don’t have to accept us, you accept our money and we accept your overhyped brand.
Quite opposite from "overhyped brand"

Whats crazy is a 3rd of the teams wont be accepted in this conference. That's a lot of step children. Almost feels like its time to rename the SEC since its hardly the SEC anymore.

What's crazy to me is I heard on the radio that this weekend features a future SEC-ACC matchup in Oklahoma vs SMU. Still can't wrap my head around that.

Texas A&M was pretty successful their first year and I think that helped them greatly. Using that same logic, I can see Oklahoma being accepted pretty quickly. Texas??? well it might take a while.

SC was a natural fit. Arky was a slight stretch at the time, but it worked for the ability to have a conference championship football game.
The A&M/Mizzou additions still feel forced and unnecessary.
OU/TX feels really forced and unnecessary, especially with the expanded playoffs. At least both schools bring history with them.

That was because the East was down, way down.
Objectively proven false time and time again. The last time the East had two teams in the top 5 at the end of the season was…?
That’s right 2013. The traditional powers in the East were garbage that year, but the DIVISION was top notch NATIONALLY.
Not sure why this is so difficult for some of you.

As a Texas fan, I'll go ahead and offer that we could not care less if a message board of internet strangers "accepts us" or not
And yet here you are posting about on a message board full of strangers.

I struggle with accepting Arkansas and South Carolina so…
That's funny, because both Arkansas and S. Carolina have more traditional southern values than Louisiana has ever had. Louisiana is just.....weird.

Texas thinks they’re coming in to bully our best teams and take the whole thing over. That won’t be received well here.
This is dumb. Texas isn’t going to come in and bully anyone. But we’re not going to bow at the alter of the SEC either so that lesser programs can feel important. Texas will enter the SEC as one of the top 5 teams in the conference. I had my doubts about Venables at OU but he’s surprised as far as recruiting goes so maybe he gets them back on track. But this whole narrative of Texas coming in and pushing other athletic departments around is just coming from the schools that need the perception of SEC superiority to elevate their brand. Kentucky needs the SEC. The SEC needs Alabama and Georgia. Texas will stand on its own two feet as well.

True. But, a large part of "belonging" is shared values. Arkansas and S. Caroline share the same values as people from Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, etc. That being said, I think we can both agree that even Louisiana is more traditionally southern than the people in Austin or Norman will ever be.

Missouri is just a strange case.
It's like coming to the SEC made people just forget they exist. And they've done nothing to remind anyone on the field
See, I don't think Aggy should be accepted until they at least make it to Atlanta. Arky and Mizzou made it pretty quickly after joining and of course SC has as well. 12 years in and it's crickets from Farmer Station.
