LSU obviously has Lane and got a hell of a portal class. LSU fans are themselves per usual and expect instant success. They claim they wont but we all know they will.

7-5 or anything less will be disappointing for me.

Do not expectations high then. I think 7-5 is a fair record to hope for....after 3 years I will expect much more(which seems fair) but we have a ton to fix, plus a new staff, plus a tough schedule as per usual...this season be more about stability then expectations probably.

We could beat LSU and I would feel liberated for the year. If we lose, we'll need to make the playoff to make up for it.

An acceptable season could be 1-11 or 11-1.

Texas is projected to have

QB #1 overall
RB1 late 2nd rounder
RB2 late 3rd rounder
WR1 top 10 pick
WR2 late 1st round pick
LT top 10 pick
RG potential late 1st
RT potential late 1st
Edge top 5 pick
Mike potential #1 LB
CB potential late 1st
SS potential 2nd rounder

I fully expect this team to be an all timer

Kirby and where the program is headed.

Every single player at Georgia that Kirby has recruited out of high school, since his coming on board in 2016, up to 2025 has won either a natty ring or an SECCG ring.

Whether or not it is worthy of a dynasty designation, it is still a run that is outright impressive.

Everybody in Athens knows that Bama fans would love to see Kirby back at Alabama.

if there's no natty attached to it, they'll be more eyebrows raised in Athens than ever about Kirby and where the program is headed.

I disagree

I think LSU will have growing pains with a new offensive system and entirely new cast of offensive players, almost. We could have a couple let down games, but I'm hoping the defense is stout and carries us through those moments.

I'm thinking it'll either be Texas, Bama, LSU, or Ole Miss.

Probably State. I think many fans are expecting us to finally break thru a little bit and win 6-8 games. When we inevitably win 5 it will hurt.

You have to have expectations to be disappointed, so SC fans are out...

Saban was running out of Saban recruits. That is why he retired. Not that there aren’t tons of players out there, but now with NIL most want to get paid right now and really have no drive to develop and improve. Saban was able to attract so much talent because he offered the best path to the NFL. Now the key is offering them the largest NIL deal. Now lots of players are making more money in college than they would as NFL rookies.

I expected to feel disappointment last season, predicted 6-6 on boards more than once. Instead I was pleasantly surprised after OU went 10-3. The Sooner defense surprised the hell out of me especially after Mateer was injured.

The 2026 schedule is just as daunting as 2025 looked in the preseason so maybe this year I will be disappointed but am not counting the Sooners out of any game this time around.
