Chicken started SECRant as a way to combat the LSU bias that was plaguing this LSU site before.

Alabama hired Saban and Alabama flamers shitposted on tiger rant until enough posters started bitching loudly enough for Chicken to create a separate page on TD called SEC Rant for all the Alabama shitposters.
At its origin, SECR was nothing but a decent place to take a dump.

There’s always been trolling but there were many good posters back in the beginning. A lot less bullshite.

Tiger Rant was by far the best SEC site and was created for LSU fans only. But there was a tradition of allowing other fan bases to come in week before the game and talk shite etc. Trouble was most of them never left. Also most of the fan sites allowed very little if any shite talking and so there were a lot of fans that would get banned particularly from the gump sites which were apparently run by former SS NAZIS so if they had a bad game on Saturday by Monday we would get a few hundred more gump fans .
The Saban situation made it worse. So suddenly our LSU fan site became really an SEC site with all the fans banned from their own sites for being obnoxious pricks. So we not only got this huge influx of idiots but all the ones their own fanbases had banned.
After a while the original LSU fanbase got tired of not being able to talk shop on our own website the SEC rant was created for everyone else and the pos trash like Cajun bama, who was not on here at the time as he was doing prison time have having sex with Farm animals. Then the OT, saints board, OB , etc and later the team boards.

Then other SEC fanbases (myself included) started shitposting so much on the SEC Rant that Chicken created the individual team boards. That way posters could take part in meaningful discussions about their school without having trolls and flamers jump in and sidetrack the thread constantly.
