questioned the conclusion you reached based upon those rankings. You set the mark too low As The list really gets watered down outside the top ten. The lack of top ten teams shows that auburn isn’t playing a bunch of really good teams in the west outside of Bama. That’s the reason, along with Troy and Memphis and sugar.

I sure hate to make you look like a fool by providing facts, but here are the teams who finished in the Top 10 on AUs schedule:

13-UA, Missouri, FSU
14-UGA, MSU, UA
15-Ole Miss, UA
16-Clemson, UA, OU
17-Clemson, UGA (2),UA, UCF

Show me another program in the East with a similar schedule. It would be worse but the gauntlet of the West knocked a few teams out of the Top 10.

Let’s break this down:

Its a list of 16 teams.

Only 7 are sec west teams.

Msu 2014 wasn’t in the top 10, so now it’s 6.

Bama is 5 of these teams.

That leaves 2015 ole miss, who lost to Memphis, as the only top 10 sec west opponent auburn has faced in 5 seasons not named Bama.

Sorry, MSU was 11th, my bad.

Which Gus is 2-3 against. Since 2013 Saban is 23-2 against the other SECW teams (not AU), so that means most of them suffered one loss to Bama every year. The margin of error for the rest of the West teams is thin if they want to finish in the Top 10. So 6 teams is pretty impressive, since AU did it twice. That is why I LISTED Top 20 Teams, but of course that didn't fit your argument.

Sumlin never did a damn thing to be mentioned in the same sentence as those other 3.

In those same 5 years the SECE had a total of 4 Teams finish in the Top 10:
13-Missouri, USC
14-UGA
15-0
16-0
17-UGA
Who is the fool that said the East was similar to the West ?

It was and so was 2015 too. Georgia was gifted both of those games.

Not sure. You keep on wanting to change the subject to the east, but I have been talking about the west.

He's the third best coach in the division behind Saban and Jimbo. Light years ahead of Morris, Orgeron and whoever the Mississippi schools have.

2012 he was 3rd in his division with a Heisman winning QB, FOUR future 1st round OTs (two top 5, all 4 starting in the NFL in 2017), a 6'5" top 10 draft pick WR in Mike Evans, and the school record setting WR in Ryan Swope just in case

And he finished 3rd in his division. Gus and Miles would've won a natty with that offense, and Richt would have at least gone to Atlanta.

B-

Auburn is a historically 8-9 win team with years of big success every few years. That is pretty much what he is done during his tenure.

The West has had 9 Top 10 teams in the last 5 years, and 18 Top 25 Teams. That lone makes it the toughest conference in College Football.

Even this works against your point. This should have been impossible if had AU suffered through a gauntlet of powerful west teams as you claim.

The margin of error for the rest of the West teams is thin if they want to finish top 10

Like not losing to Troy, or not losing to Toledo, or not getting smashed by Ga Tech in a bowl game, or not losing to a mark richt coached UGA team without an offense.

There are too many examples of average SEC teams in the top 20 for it to mean all that much.

Did you read it to her? I will look in the Pensacola News tomorrow to see if she accidentally laughed in agreement.

1 OM, who lost to Memphis

Big 10 East had 10 top 10 teams.

Remember how you felt after that 2nd *win*? You felt like Auburn had accomplished something. And that Auburn was on the way up and Bama was on the way down. You don't feel that way now. Bama is the NC and is getting better.

I would give Gus a C for all his cheat plays. When Gustav came in he befuddled all the refs with his hurry up nonsense. Since then he has been churning out 4 & 5 loss seasons. It wouldn't surprise me if Barn U. lost 6 games this year.

You might be right that the B10E is = to SECW as Top 10 Teams, but the SECW has the same amount of Top 25 Teams as the entire BIG 10. So, I give the SECW the tiebreaker as the best Conference in College Football.
