Are you referring to Augie Garrido, former UT Head baseball coach who won (2) Natl. Championships this century?

Coach Gustafson, who also won (2) Nat’l. Championships ‘75 and ‘83 was known to sometimes overuse his pitching staff.

Gus was known more for overusing his pitchers than Augie. Both were known for winning National Championships.

Augie was more known for excessive drinking and regularly cussing out his players than anything else. Sad what coaching at Texas drove him to

I apologize for speaking about National Championship winning coaches to you. Having read many of your posts, I realize your unnatural hatred for all things Texas.

Before you berate/judge Augie(RIP), you may want to check out what was going on w/ your boy Schloss @TCU…allegedly.

Nothing good comes from airing other people’s dirty laundry. I don’t need to build myself up by tearing other people down.

I try not to judge lest I be judged. No point disparaging the dead.

Check it out yourself. I’m not going to use an anonymous message board to shite talk keyboard tough guys.

If you have any baseball connections, it’s pretty easy to find.

Thought/think it’s chickenshit to speak ill of the dead.

My father is dead, and he’s a son of a bitch. He was proud of that fact. It isn’t bad to speak the truth. Augie’s problems are very well known. I will research Schloss …

Just saying, not sure who will beat this team. Not about GA...more about this A&M team being historic.

If I’m understanding you correctly we need to stop with this stuff. Baseball is a fickle sport, we could not make it out of regionals. We need to enjoy it in the moment because it could all be gone with one swing if you are hanging on some historic anointment.
