Twas the Night - Georgia at Bama

This week’s foo foo for you:

'Twas the night before game day, and all through the town,
The Tide fans were anxious, with no Saban around.
A new coach at the helm, but the standard was high,
As ‘Bama prepared under a fresh, watchful eye.

The Bulldogs were barking, their eyes on the prize,
But the Tide, ever ready, planned a big surprise.
Milroe stood poised, the offense with flair,
While Georgia’s defense promised to give them a scare.

The stadium buzzed, packed wall to wall,
Both teams were ready for a late autumn brawl.
With memories of Saban still fresh in the air,
The Tide pressed onward without a care.

The Dawgs came out swinging, showing their might,
But the Tide stood their ground, prepared for a fight.
With the new coach’s tactics and Milroe’s strong arm,
Alabama fought on, staying calm, free from harm.

The game swung back and forth, no team out of sight,
As the fans on both sides rode the emotional height.
Fourth quarter arrived, and with time running out,
A deep pass from Milroe erased all doubt.

Touchdown, Alabama! The lead was now theirs,
But Georgia stormed back, all guts and no prayers.
The final moments ticked, and ‘Bama held strong,
Winning the battle, in a game hard and long (calm down A&M).

The new era began with a victory so sweet,
As Alabama’s Tide refused to be beat.
With no Saban in sight, but the legacy intact,
The Tide rolled on, proving they've still got the knack.

So on that night, in the heart of the South,
A new chapter was written, but with the same mouth.
For the Tide will roll, no matter the name,
As Alabama’s winning ways remain the same.
