I've been reading from the experts here in all the threads about A&M's #1 class and the transfer portal

What’s funny is that they are leaving out that the same community that made this class successful will be available to deal with the portal.

Don’t know why they blocked the poster’s info.
It’s from an OU account.

I liked DeMarvin Leal’s response :

I didn't think about it until now. But given they have structured contracts that give them money all the way through their college careers could make this class even more Bama-like.
Guys may stick around till their JR year.

NEED better hooks than just spreading the payments.....if they are really good they just get more money elsewhere.....portal every year if really good.....have to make them pay it back......otherwise you just end up paying for a team of bench sitters.....

Sounds like we're screwed. Who knew signing the #1 class would be such a terrible idea

Yep just go ahead and hand those recruits over... we'll shoulder the burden of a top class for you.

Interesting info - I've been looking to find numbers.

How much, realistically, are A&M boosters paying per player per year ? Lets talk round numbers - they signed around 25 players, right ? At 40k each ... that's a million per year. Project that over four recruiting classes - and that's four million a year costs for labor ?

Frankly - that's not THAT bad. Compare that to what boosters are paying to upgrade facilities, money whip coaches, and such. A million per class per year seems pretty smart.

Jimbo will screw it up - but I like how A&M is thinking.

You're gonna have to pay man. And then we'll take your transfers.
