29 point losers to unranked teams should never get in.

I would agree, and I think everyone would, that those were likely the overall best teams and it played out that way.

But, OSU has Purdue, and Georgia has LSU. Both inexcusable losses.

They got it right. If's and Butt's...if Notre Dame gets that early TO they likely keep it close. Against uga if bama scores on the 2 1st half red zone possessions where they turned the ball over they likely win by 4 scores.

In the end we see that most years the BCS system was fine. This is an example of that reality. The 4 team playoff was created for the odd 5th year when it isn't clear. In truth the way they pick the 4 teams should be much more objective than it is now...it isn't fair to the kids playing the game. Give them a obtainable on the field goal and let each team fight for the spots.

You mean the current 11th ranked team on the road? I don’t think that loss is “inexcusable” and shouldn’t be put in the same category as Ohio St. losing by 29 to Purdue.

Georgia’s defense would have hounded the midget and beat the breaks off of OU in similar fashion. Don’t kid yourself

Is it even possible to do worse?

Oklahoma had no team on the field for the first 30 minutes of the game.

LSU played Bama harder than Oklahoma. It was only 6 - 0 in the 1st.

Hell, Bama was only up 14-7 to A&M -- IN TUSCALOOSA.

I think Ohio State with their problems still gets a dump trucking.

But as much as we troll, the other game would have been interesting, like last year. Clemson may have won, but it'd have been a good game.

We had a lot of whining about Oklahoma, but the real issue was this: Notre Dame is all but in the ACC, so THAT game was basically the ACCCG. Make them join the ACC fully and give up that stupid NBC contract or remove them from consideration for the playoffs. The latter will never happen, the former might but it'll probably be a while longer.

Time to expand to 8 seeds and give the top 4 homefield advantage. Majority of these bowl games are unbearable to watch post playoffs.

It's inevitable they will expand at some point, just get it going already. If players are skipping out on bowl games, why should the fans stick it out.

The OU Bama outcome was never in doubt. When Bama went up 7-0 you could see it in their faces they were just hoping to keep it close.
