From D1Baseball. LINK /
"Overall, the SEC dominates with eight prospects in the top ten. Of those eight, two played in other conferences last season; White (ACC), Thatcher Hurd (Pac-12). The SEC also leads the Top 150 with 39 prospects, while the ACC is second (27) and the Pac-12 and Big 12 tie for fourth (18).
LSU leads all schools with three of the top 10 overall prospects, while Florida leads with six in the Top 150, followed by Oklahoma State and Mississippi State, who each have five players on the list."
The SEC and LSU are strong at the top, but Vance Honeycutt is #1 brahs.

Your link only works with a subscription, which hardly anyone will have. Bad form.

Cool man, surely the #1 prospect can keep the Heels from going 0-2 in the Supers this year right?
He made some nice plays against the Hogs last year though not nearly enough.

It sucked to get walked off at home, but Arkansas played great. We have the talent around Vance to make it to Omaha this year.

Be interesting to see if Kling is in the starting lineup initially. Some expect him to start and bat 8th. Hurd is not in the weekend rotation to start the year, but speculation is that he will start midweek in prep for a mid-week start against Texas at the end of the month.

Kling is probably the best freshman bat in the country if they can find a regular role for him. Hurd is a helluva midweek starter.

Maybe schools will actually be able to hang onto these elite prospects because of NIL. Will be interesting.

These are guys already in school, not high school kids. The guys on this 2024 list are sophomores in college right now or freshmen who will be draft eligible sophomores in 2024

I kinda doubt that. He's got a lot of talent overall but he hasnt really taken over in the fall and spring scrimmages to lock down a starting spot for now. Dylan Crews is a ridiculous comparison for anyone but he's basically a slightly poor man's Crews for now IMO. He will be special before he leaves here even if it's just for 2 years. True 5-tool outfielder.
I will say his spring stats were better than his fall stats but pretty limited in spring compared to fall. He'll play a lot this year regardless.

It's likely on temporary so we can pitch one of our best guys @ Texas which is probably our toughest OOC game by far (lots of patsies on the schedule before conference play). the rotation is very far off from being set right now. I dont see Cooper staying there at all being 1 of only 2 useful lefties on the team and just much better out the pen overall.
