My guess it has to do with the loss of our starting QB Beck and the season-ending loss of our starting punter, too, in the SECG. Granted, we're crippled....but, it didn't seem to matter vs. Texas as the Longhorns found out.

ND had a bad day vs. Northern Illinois, but they've won the rest of their games by pretty big margins.

Still. The Dawgs -2.5 to Notre Dame? A bit weird.

Then bet on Georgia. Why is this a thread?

Texas didn't game prep for Stockton. ND will prep for Stockton. ND also has a very stout run defense. I said it when the rankings came out on here, it's not a favorable match up for Georgia.

They have a more competent offense than Georgia.

It's in the interest of national security.

Stating the obvious fact that Texas did not prepare for Stockton? Yes. Texas prepared for Beck. I'm not sure whats controversial about that.

Vegas largely plays it straight but when they see a chance to cash in, they do. Our Tenn game when they were #1, this years first Texas game, maybe even the second, and now you have a massive fanbase in ND with lots of money......to lose on a sucker bet

They just feed the machine and ESPN goes along

Gonna be even more interesting when UGA ends up playing Indiana.

If anything our playbook was more limited with Stockton.

It should have been an easy adjustment.

UGA OL started leaning on UT was the real problem

I'm not saying it affected the outcome of the game, but when you prepare a game plan for an QB and it changes at halftime, it's not as easy as just changing one or two things. There is limited tape on Stockton, there is a lot of tape on Beck.

I do think Texas made a few easy tweaks after the first drive of the second half, as Georgia didn't make a drive like that again all game.

The game really didn't change, we simplified the passing game and had a few more QB runs that Beck could have done as well

Kirby loves it. Nobody respects us. We were predicted to lose all those tough road games. We couldn't beat Texas and after we did we still couldn't beat Texas. Now we are underdogs to Notre Dame and everyone in the field.

All of what you said is true. UGA actually starting to feel like a team of destiny. Watch the backup QB go on a run, the team rally and win the whole damn thing, as an underdog to Texas for a third time.

ND’s defense is legit, and they have an excellent, mobile QB

Do you think King playing would have made a difference in your score?

I mean...he's right. They are two very different QBs. Stockton typically runs first. Beck throws first. It definitely makes a difference to a defense.

Now, that's not saying we wouldn't have beaten Texas with beck in the game. We might have. But nobody can say for sure.
The big difference to me was Etienne breaking loose.
And...Stockton made 2-3 great QB draws.
