Just STFU, you fool. Two SEC Championship games after that 2001 game. You lost this round. You're a moron. Accept it.

You might want to worry about the downward trajectory Alabama is on at the moment. Quit waving your tiny dick around trying to talk about Tennessee.

2. 2001 SEC Championship Game

This match-up between #2 Tennessee (10-1) and #21 (8-3) LSU was seen by most pundits as just a formality. Tennessee, who had already defeated LSU in the regular season, would do so again and then head on to the Rose Bowl to meet #1 Miami for the national championship. This was not to be, however, as the LSU Tigers would go on to upset the heavily favored Volunteers by the score of 31-20. Instead of going to Pasadena to play for it all, Tennessee was instead relegated to the Citrus Bowl.

CSB: My wife and I were in Asheville NC for Christmas that year at the Grove Park Inn. I was wearing an LSU cap (I have dual citizenship, Auburn & LSU), and I encountered an elderly man (you ask, 'who am I to call someone else elderly'), wearing a Tennessee orange jacket. He approached me and said something like, "You cost us a chance at a national championship!". I replied, "Merely payback for 1959." He laughed and shook my hand and told me he was at the 59 game.

Saban ended Tennessee. We all saw it.

7. 2017 SEC Championship Game The #2 Auburn Tigers (10-2) against #6 Georgia Bulldogs (11-1) in Atlanta. Auburn defeated Georgia earlier in the season to the tune of 40-17. This time around, however…

Auburn was relegated to playing #12 Central Florida in the Peach Bowl.

This one never sat right with me. Auburn finishes the season beating UGA and Bama then penalized for losing the rematch when the other team has every psychological advantage. Auburn should have been in the playoffs.

I'll never understand how they ranked Auburn at #2 that year:

In the heart of the College Football Playoff Era, a program looked to be the first two-loss team to make it into the CFP. The #2 Auburn Tigers (10-2) faced off against the #6 Georgia Bulldogs (11-1) in Atlanta that season.

That hurts your feelings when I point it out the downward trajectory of Alabama, didn't it?

DeBoer will return you to the year 2000 levels.

I think most Alabama fans are emotionally mature enough to admit there has been a downward trajectory in our program since the 2021 season.

Not really. It's not unexpected to not be god-like after Saban left.

I would go with after 2017 really. Our defensive play fell off hard after that season.

You mean Georgia I take it?

That Iron Bowl he played magnificently but dude was hurting near the end of it. No way he could have been ready for Georgia after that game.
