TBH i never pay attention to SEC bands. If it isn't the "Human Jukebox" or "Sonic Boom Of The South" then i don't care lol.

IMO the best college band I’ve ever seen is Talladega College from Alabama. They usually march in a few NOLA Mardi Gras parades and they are incredible. The Human Jukebox is my 1B.

Tennessee's band is also excellent and they are very, very good with formations, too.
When you do the same thing every game (the circle thing), you would hope that they would have a down by now. TN's band is average.

The Marching Royal Dukes of James Madison University - 500 members
Isn't that like a quarter of their school?

Mississippi State and South Carolina's bands play the least during games because they don't get priority over things being said over the PA system.
It may have changed since I was in the band (my last season was 2008) but we were one of the ones who played the most.
USC must have changed a lot because I remember when they were The Marching 190 or something like that.

I don't recall that ever being a thing. You might be thinking of South Carolina State University.

Their info says they have 450 members--that's 10 more than UGA.
Their latest info says 562 members.

414? really?
State's band has made huge strides from 10-20 years ago. I noticed just within the past few years how big the band has become and how much better they sound.

The Aggie Band is specifically designed to have a max of 387 on the field. (12 x 32 + 3 drum majors)
Anything more and the formations don't work properly.

aTm has the only band that I will stay in my seat to watch at halftime. Maybe it's because a precision military style band is unique these days. They're impressive

Vandy’s band is just musicians from the community.
If that were true, the band would be better! What is true is that the SOG provides an outlet for music students at Belmont, Trevecca, and Lipscomb to march (none of those nearby schools have football teams). Since there is no requirement for music majors at Vandy's Blair School of Music to participate in the SOG, they need those other students to have even the numbers they do.

A&M's band has to be the most boring garbage band in the country. It is the only time i leave my seat to go watch another game. I can't believe we let those fackers march on Davis Wade. That's some BS.
