Beating a 6-6 auburn team that got blown out by NMSU won't be remembered once the shine wears off.

The frick it will. THAT play beat our fiercest of rivals.
If it had been Ms State, probably but this is the Iron Bowl. We still talk about Van Tiffins kick and Auburns team didn't win shite that year. Yall still talk about Punt Bama Punt and Bama didn't win shite that year.
It will be replayed and replayed on the Jumbotron at BDS forever. You'll get to watch it everytime you come to our house.

NMSU absolutely shredded the defense the week before.

It was obvious Auburn had practiced and focused on Bama that NMSU week. They thought they could just show up and beat NMSU, and Kill and his team showed up to win and kicked our arse.

It wasn't really the 4th and 31....it was all the crying, sobbing, snot rockets in the stands that did it for me!!
Kick 6 was still up in the air as to who won...
Flik6 auburn fans was on the containing wall waiting to rush the field

Odds are if Milroe had taken off and ran when the DBs left the end zone to tackle him he would have thrown a pass from the 21 yard line

Thanks, Captain Obvious.

That's not the subject though: The subject is how does this play compare to the Kick-Six.

Overall, I would put this somewhere in the 3-5 range of Iron Bowl moments. Clearly behind Kick-Six and Punt-Bama-Punt. Somewhere in the mix of the Van Tiffin Kick and Bo Over the Top.

Just an outsiders view (with family having gone to Auburn and currently living in Montgomery.)

AU beat two ten win teams in there also, don't act like they didn't beat any good bama teams during that run.

And 4 teams between 4-9 and 6-6

Let me give you a hint, no Auburn fans were celebrating less in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007.

4th and 31 was a jaw dropping play dont get me wrong, but it's almost impossible for any play to beat the kick six.

Bama and Auburn is the biggest rivalry in the south and maybe the country. Game is tied with a chance at the national championship and one of the lowest percentage plays ends the game.

it can't be out done.
Of course... there are clips of the Kick 6 in basically every college football commercial... you see it constantly. It's arguably the most memorable college football play of all time along with Hail Flutie and the Stanford Band Play. Ask say a Michigan or Notre Dame fan and they all know what the kick 6 is.

4th and 31 sucked for sure but it's not close to the Kick 6.

The Kick Six was beaten a few years later by 2 and 26 that won a National Title.

Kick 6 stopped a 3 peat. 4/31 saved a chance at the playoffs.

Kick 6 was way bigger.

Think about how you felt before, during and after that play.

Now imagine that haoppening in virtuall every big game you play and even in some cupcakes games. That was what winning in the Les Miles era felt like at LSU. It was exhausting...

I'd much rather it not have to come to that.

So are you saying you don't believe Auburn fans would be hurt more losing a natty game than they do over losing a regular season game in a 6-6 season to Bama?

Man you guys really need to go outside and experience the world.

The cherry on top for Kick 6 was that Saban stomped his feet at the refs and made them put 1 sec back on the clock so they could attempt to win it w/o OT…

It's easier for someone to run a kick off back than to score on 4th and 31 during the last few seconds so I totally disagree.
