This will be Alabama’s worst season in over a decade. Yet it will still be as good as Auburn’s best season in over a decade.

So Alabama replaced the greatest coach in History, lost 40 in the portal and several top recruits and still are headed for a ten win season after the bowl?

Would I like to have gone at least to the playoffs? Sure. Did the Vandy and Oklahima losses sting. Certainly. But this team lost nearly half its players and most of its coaches and still had some hightlights this season to build on, And it has a class ranked in the top three or higner and will be active in the portal

Man I guarantee I can find LSU posters saying the exact same thing after Kelly's first year (minus replacing the GOAT obviously).

Hopefully Bama has a better year 3 than we did. At least Bama still has name recognition going for them.

How many did LSU lose in the portal that year?

So what you're saying is that Auburn is used to sucking, so it's not as bad for them to be 5-6 than it is for Alabama to be 8-3? Weird self-own, but I'll allow it.

A potential 8-4 / 8-5 final record could destroy the uat program long-term while 6-6 Auburn is trending up, esp with another incoming elite recruiting class…the outcome would be that uat would be just another ok SEC program with extremely high expectations (but no results) for years to come…

Hey Man,

Not too sure what you’re talking about but you should probably worry about your sorry arse team and losing a 5th in a row to your rival. Auburn is currently in its worst state of football in 70 yrs give or take(shooting for 4th losing season in a row)…lol you idiots have a losing record this season and you come here acting as if it’s BAMA who has the problems. Tighten up and realize you’re a BITCH and your small dick got the best of you here.

Never steal a coach from a team that had a superstar QB. There are past case studies on this. Think it thru.

Before BK coached his first game LSU played it's bowl game with a WR as the QB because we lost so many players. It's actually crazy how BK did so well his first year despite such a slapped together roster. But since then his talent evaluation has been spotty out the portal.

That's were we will really see how good DeBour is, because Saban was elite at recognizing talent.

LSU had a combined record of 11-12 in the two years before Brian Kelly took over, with a roster in complete disarray. The situations each coach inherited couldn’t have been more different.
