Looks like the Texas Snowflakes might continue to get their way. Big babies.

The video in the article with the director of officiating basically says it will only be a penalty if it is done in a Texas player's face to taunt him. Basically same as the Gator Chomp, etc.

Non Issue, the article has a very misleading headline

Y’all are looking way too much into this. You score a touchdown and flash the horns down, it’s ok. You score a touchdown, get in the defender’s face and flash the horns down, that’s called taunting, and that’s a penalty. Always has been. Stop trying to make something out of nothing. And frick you for making me semi-defend those weirdos in Austin.

The "in the face" rule makes sense. I've lived in Louisiana since I was 4, but am originally from OKC and still have deep family roots there. The Sooner fan in me was quick to jump all over thus.

Here's another link supporting our "freedom to taunt."

A lawsuit on what basis? Did I miss where the horns down gesture is trademarked?

The UT administration ivory tower types care. Like 20 or so people.

The rest of us UT fans and the players have been getting the horns down in our faces since birth, who cares.

I don't understand why Texas fans are even allowed to make Satanic hand gestures at all, anywhere.

Satanism isn't what our country was founded on, and Jim Thorpe would kick somebody's arse for degrading football that way.

1) i havent seen Texas players or fans say anything about it, seems more like typical league officials cracking down on taunting.

2) horns down is incredibly lame.

3) People complaining about Texas “snowflakes” sound more like snowflakes

Better than t.u.

Can you imagine if the rest of us called the aggies M&A? It would be stupid. That's why we don't do it.

Mack Brown brought it up back in the day, but it was after a Texas receiver was flagged for "holstering a gun" after a catch/touchdown against Tech. He didn't do it AT anyone but it was a flag, Mack went into the press conference and asked why one taunt was a flag and another wasn't.
