Thank God.
A few years ago the Longhorn helmet was actually voted as the “most recognizable” in college football. Never understood this desire to change a classic.
It’s like a cover band or other singer doing their version of a Van Halen song. Just leave it alone and come up with your own stuff.

Dear Emily,
You have no idea the better uses I could find for your time.
Sincerely,

That looks like something a person in Austin would wear. It is horrendous

Looks like an opportunity to have people throw out their old gear and buy all new....lol....financial windfall at the expense of the fans. Geez....the pro teams do it all the time. It's a revenue driver.

I see the logic behind Texas, but that ND wouldn’t have even been noticed. Even pointing them out wouldn’t help me know they were there.

Me too, it would separate them from the logo they copied from Tennessee

Of all the schools that could even consider a change, Texas would be among the last.
Ours has changed over the years, even if the overall concept has stayed the same. We might claim a heritage with the layout, but not one consistent application. The Longhorn is timeless.
The only school in the SEC that I would say even comes close is the Georgia G, but they also get downgraded for copying Green Bay…

Does anybody EVER bother to research the history of our logo before commenting?
