Somewhat agree, it depended on your SEC east opponents for that year. If you got UGA rather than Vandy (the Vandy of old, LOL) then you got screwed.

How is Texas rated #3 when they have a loss and their best win is over an unranked Vandy team?
There is one undefeated and 5 one loss teams behind them in the rankings and all of them have either one or two top 20 wins and one of the teams lone defeat is to an undefeated #6 BYU team and another teams loss is only by a couple of points to #1 Oregon.
If you put TX schedule on a non-SEC/Big 10 team they would be ranked below most 2 loss teams.

We have 6 Top 25 teams all time on our schedule (based on all time wins)
Michigan
Oklahoma
Georgia
Texas A&M
Florida
Arkansas
Those teams won the the last 3 National Championships and have combined for 6 total National Championships since 2000.
Those teams combined for 9 playoff appearances in the last 10 years.
It's not a bad schedule, the teams collectively just aren't having good years.. but I guess that is our fault..
