Who's raking him over the coals? Aggies?

I think he probably just reported the truth and you're mad because it didn't line up with the Aggie propaganda we've heard all week.

Or... and hear me out on this... he's just not an overly-emotional baby that's screaming at the top of their lungs like aggie message board writers are?

Lol yea... it's refreshing to have a neutral observer write something other than "big meanie Texas bullies sacred, salt-of-the-earth school Texas A&M"

I didn’t say it wasn’t “the truth.” I said it was one-sided.

There were an awful lot of pertinent details relating the entire situation that were left out. But I’m sure you recognize that, being as objective, unbiased, and open-minded as you are on the subject.

Probably the evidence of using burner phones to recruit players and damning screenshots that we've heard about (yet mysteriously not produced)

Or maybe confirmation that Schlossnagle and his staff "threw the world series" despite getting a&m further than the program had ever been before

The weirdest thing about Texas hiring Schlossnagle is the rush to sign all of the assistants as well. You never see that.

The head coach takes a job and just he and maybe one assistant go to start running on the new job, but usually multiple assistants stay behind, maybe even with an understanding that they can eventually follow the head coach and one of them will be named an interim coach until the old school releases them or hires someone else.

When we hired Schloss from TCU, Saarloos stayed and became interim. Thats how like it almost always works. Guys Elko hired from Duke remained at Duke for several weeks.

The fact that all assistant coaches needed to be at their press conference the next day is really weird. Its like they were told to accept the job now or we might not hold a slot open for you.

Assistants follow head coaches all of the time. Each of the aggie assistants had a choice whether they wanted to follow, and they all did until Earley was offered a promotion to take the head coaching gig.

Take it up with the assistants, then. They're grown men, so they could make the decision for themselves.

Schlossnagle offered them the opportunity to follow and they all did. They were also harassed by salty aggie fans, but apparently this Earley guy was able to look beyond all of that. Can't blame the others for wanting to disassociate after receiving death threats and a smear campaign for taking promotions themselves

Ive seen a lot of coach introductory press conferences, but never one with an entire staff picked out, I dont think I can even think of one where there was even a single assistant coach also there.

The escalated timeline for hiring assistants the same day the head coach was named was irregular. The fact that Earley, instead of being named interim and then being elevated, had to take a job at Texas and then interview with us after being announced was weird. Its just not the way its done.

But they didn’t start talking until after our last game was over. And in the 12 or so hours it took for JS and Co. to sleep, travel back to College Station from Omaha, bus back to the school from the airport, and unload their gear, a new head coach and entire coaching staff was put into place.

So efficient!

You expect us to believe that?

Only a moron would trot out that story as if it were realistic.

Don’t be selfish!

JS absolutely expects you to believe it, since he’s trotted out several “variations” of the same story.

Lol the ultimate “I don’t have a single response to anything you said because you’re right”

Speaking of drama, didn’t you whine about leaving the rant a few days ago because big bad Texas was getting their own board… only to post 500 times since then?

Tell me about it! It’s amazing how much a coach (including the most successful one in school history) would want to get out of aggieland. It’s almost like your batshit crazy cultist fans are a turn off or something!

Oh wait, that can’t be… I mean, a&m did get their first choice hire as a replacement, no? Oh wait… well… at least they hired a coach with plenty of HC experience, right? Right??!?

Oh wait…
