Unfortunately, 7 of them were for Bama after they left A&M.

Where is our "Thank you" for training these fellas up for you?

We do all this out of the kindness of our hearts, and all we get is a Franchione in return.

Gene Stallings:

Shortly after helping Alabama win the 1964 national title, Stallings was named the head coach of his alma mater, Texas A&M, at the age of 29. He coached the Aggies for seven seasons compiling a record of 27–45–1. During his tenure, the Aggies won the Southwest Conference in 1967, Stallings' only winning season at A&M. At the end of that season Stallings led Texas A&M to a victory over Alabama and mentor Bear Bryant in the Cotton Bowl, a victory where Coach Bryant carried Coach Stallings off the field.

Man, any of us that actually tries to claim we have something to brag about these days needs some correction.

I’ll stand by the people who insist we have all the ingredients to be elite (money, fans, talent pool, traditions, etc), but all that does is highlight the “do less with more” aspect of the whole thing.

If we ever DO get it out together, I may have to change my username. It may actually be easier to admit current ineptitude than be associated with future insufferable blowhards.
