Top 12.
Whats amazing to me is OU has played 8 of the top 40 (and 4 of top 8 and 5 of top 18) defenses on stop rate. And did it missing most of our offense. And still beat 4 of the 8. We basically had backups playing mostly great defenses.

This is the SEC not the big12. We don't have participation trophies in this conference.

It's not opponent adjusted, so I don't put that much weight into it. I'm sure the defenses listed are still pretty good, but as far as ranking it's kind of meh.
I guarantee you Oklahoma's defense and real stop rate is better than JM for example.
It even acknowledges this itself, which is good.

What an odd stat.
UGA is 43rd in "stop rate", yet 15th in total (yardage) defense and 17th in scoring defense.

The only good team you faced this year the whorns folded like a house of cards. At least we’ve beat someone. You’ll be exposed soon enough

Texas mad because they know with a offense OUs defense would probably be number one this season in the sec. That and everyone making fun of their easy arse schedule .

While I don't disagree with your statement, I kind of laugh seeing it come from an OU fan.
You're basically saying your team isn't good.

And no, its you who’s saying we’re not good.
Its been said all year, our offense sucked and defense was legit. Nothing new or earth shattering. Whats amazing is how we patched together backups and ran for 260 yards on Bama. All year I screamed to run the ball. It helps oline not have to pass pro and if you get stopped let D get it back and do it again. It took an interim OC to finally get it going. But its still not fixed that happens in off season with a new OC.
Tell me, did you or anyone predict OU beating Bama and then in dominating fashion.

So UGA went from 43rd to 8th when the stat is adjusted for the opponent? That's quite a shift.

LSU goes from 86 to 47 opponent adjusted too
Posted on 11/26/24 at 12:07 pm to OU Guy
Why wouldn’t you adjust a rating based on the level of offense you have played doesn’t much much sense . Total defense and offense numbers are extinct . It’s based off the level of competition you have played and that’s all that matters when trying to figure out who is great at something !

But but Ole Miss has the best defense in the country!!!
Until you need a stop!!!

Interesting.. if we folded against the "only good team" we faced.. you are basically saying your team is shite this year..
We may not have a ranked win, but we have a positive margin against common opponents versus every SEC team.. but one..
6 common opponents with Tennessee
vs OU (Texas +21)
vs Hogs (Texas +15)
vs Florida (Texas +26)
vs Kentucky (Texas +7)
vs State (Texas +3)
* vs Dawgs (Texas -1)
Net + 71 / 6 = 11.8 ppg
3 common opponents with Alabama
vs Georgia (Texas -22)
vs Vandy (Texas +8)
vs OU (Texas +52)
Net = Texas +38 / 3 = 12.7 ppg
3 common opponents with Texas A&M
vs Florida (Texas +19)
vs Hogs (Texas +6)
vs State (Texas +12)
Net = Texas +37 / 3 = 12.3 ppg
5 common opponents with Ole Miss
vs Florida (Texas +39)
vs Kentucky (Texas +20)
vs OU (Texas +19)
* vs Hogs (Texas -22)
* vs Dawgs (Texas -33)
Net = Texas +23 / 5 = 4.6 ppg
3 common opponents with LSU
vs Florida (Texas +43)
* vs Hogs (Texas -14)
* vs Vandy (Texas -4)
Net = Texas +25 / 3 = 8.3 ppg
And while may not have any ranked wins per the AP Poll..
We have 2 Top 25 wins according to Sagarin.
16 Oklahoma
20 Florida
We have 3 Top 25 wins according to Massey.
19 Oklahoma
22 Florida
24 Michigan
So the computers like us a little bit.. perhaps because of the common opponents..
