I think his goofy face, cocky demeanor and the fact that he bears a strong resemblance to the psycho that did the Idaho murders, rubs a lot of people the wrong way. But hell, I like the fellow.

Did we really need another thread about Stetson?

He gets more trim in a weekend than you have your entire life.

I also heard he had less homosexual encounters than Jake Fromm and Joe Burrow, which is also a plus in my book.

Call me old fashioned.

Not until the last 2 weeks did I learn that Stetson Bennett can come across as punchable. To each their own I guess, but he's always seemed like a good dude to me.

I like how Stetson makes expert coaches look like fools. Bennett will always be undervalued because his real strength, adrenaline response, is invisible. Bennett thrives in seemingly impossible situations. Down 14 late to OSU, Bennet on the bench looked like he was losing his shite. I gave him no chance of coming back then he was perfect.

It's great fun having a QB that other teams hate being beat by.

I just hate him because he plays for Georgia. I think it’s funny how everyone has to reach for some random reason to justify it

Apparently his lack of time spent at the Salon cost him a Heisman. Should have worked harder on the hair and nails.

Cut him a break. He's going to be selling insurance in Pierce County in 3 weeks while Bryce Young is banking $30 million.

But Stetson is living his best life, Make-A-Wish bought him an invite to the Heisman ceremony where he got to meet superstar QBs.

Weird how a balding 30 year old can look like such a kid next to much younger and much more talented QBs.

I don't think anyone around here really wants to know who you fantasy when you touch yourself, but I'm sure Stetson would be flattered by you.

I got nothing against him…but isn’t he a little old to be wearing a Letterman’s jacket?

FWIW, I agree with poster above. He was rattled and choking hard vs OSU. It looked like even he knew it, and maybe he did.

Then, OSU opened the door, and he composed himself and made them pay.

You all are a pathetic lot.

A kid from Blackshear, GA works his arse off - devoid of any real natural talent - to win a national championship for the team he grew up worshiping. He probably won’t make it to the NFL.

He’ll leave an incredible legacy on his state’s flagship institution, will probably marry the gorgeous gal he’s dating at the moment, and will have his selection of a highly lucrative job in one of the most economically prosperous states in the country. Whether he’s doing finance in Atlanta or selling real estate in Sea Island, the dude will have it made better than 99.9% of you old curmudgeons who find tragic satisfaction in aspersing a 25-year old dude via an online forum.

I root against all teams not named Georgia. However, I don’t mock kids playing a child’s game (I.e., football) for other schools based on their looks or future outlook. If y’all ever met him in real life, no chance any of you supine losers would say any of that to his face.

I automatically assume that anyone on this Board who speaks with such invective about a college player is poor, miserable, and married to a dastardly woman. I apologize for your misfortune, but your castigation of Stet is only a depressing reflection of your own life.

Also hilarious that many of you (who, after you die, will be remembered by no one) misconceive a quiet and unassuming personality as douchebaggery. My guess is that many of you do loath him because you could have been Stet - a 5’11, 185 lb. white fella who had enough moxy to make it in the SEC. Your self-loathing is entertaining - feel free to continue abasing yourselves by mocking a 25-year old college kid.

Lastly, no one who lives or graduated from Alabama ever has any right to deride a UGA grad. Your state literally exists to be the butt of jokes from coast to coast.

Probably because for a lot of us, it really doesn't have anything to do with who he plays for. I liked Tua and I like Bryce despite them playing for BAMA. I have liked a lot of UGA players over the years and players from just about every team. Stetson just isn't likeable.

He was the only one at the Heisman ceremony that was repping his university.

Jacket did its job.

I like him as a player. I don't know him personally, and all I've seen are his interviews. He obviously has a chip on his shoulder, and he does have a lot of confidence. Maybe even arrogance. It could be a defense mechanism that he uses to help him cope with being attacked, disregarded, and disrespected.

He's a DGD and will respect what he's done for the University of Georgia over his career. It's an inspiring story. What rubs me the wrong way is how he seems to lack humility in so many of his interviews. I'd love to see more humility on display rather than showing that chip on his shoulder so often. I get why some people just don't like him. If he displayed more humility, he might change some minds about him.

He has shown plenty of humility over both last year and this year. He is also sick of hearing about he is just a ride along for the success of these teams. Only a very, very good QB makes the throws that pushed UGA down the field for a winning TD. He is allowed to say in an interview, “hey, I can play a bit too”.
