I've never been but... Ain't no way Starkville beat out Gulfport MS as the best city in the worst state of America

The criteria is "small town" --- Gulfport wouldn't qualify

Nothing wrong with Starkville. Have always enjoyed making that short trip over for games.

Its the best SMALL Town. Gulfport actually has about 70K I wouldnt consider it a small town they have a couple 10+ story office buildings in downtown Gulfport.

USA used to be the best for kids growing up in the 90's looking for NFL NBA AND MLB stats during the week (until the internet was more readily available)

Young bucks on here would have never made it with dialup.

I’d say ocean springs, Long Beach, pass Christian before Gulfport….

I guess they don’t consider Starkville a college town because Mississippi state is the 13th grade.
