Hey guys, I thought this was pretty funny, but I don't get the hilarity of the Tim Tebow dig. It seemed to get the biggest reaction and I wasn't sure why??

Anyway pretty good job by Shipley I thought.

All joking aside, Colt mentions this in his autobiography Growing Up Colt. I was able to stomach my hatred of Texas long enough to read this, and it's pretty interesting and good. He seems like a solid Christian guy. I'd definitely recommend it.

I will not be reading that because that title is stupid.

Instead of reading Colt McCoy's autobiography, I'm just gonna douse myself in gasoline and strike a match.

For a guy who was only 5' 11", Shipley was a great college WR. He had a pretty nice NFL rookie season, and then tore up a bunch of knee ligaments at the begining of his 2nd season and never really made it back.

Dude could really run.

Colt. Didn’t Bama break him in two? I know he left several college games with injury. Was a pretty decent benchwarmer for years in the NFL.

Shipley just disappeared when he was no longer the roommate

Lasted the longest in the NFL of all 2010 QBs drafted, which included Tim Tebow and Sam Bradford.

If Colt hadn't got hurt, we would have another NC

Tebow was always a project, but Bradford had much higher expectations than McCoy and was paid a lot more and produced a whole lot more. He had nearly 3x the number of NFL career pass attempts, yards, and passing tds while playing 4 fewer years.

Because he was not carrying a clipboard, he also got hurt a lot more.

He played in the NFL but after tearing his knee for the 47th time he decided to give it up. If you lived in Texas you would know he is a wildly successful real estate agent. He's the listing agent for about a $100 million dollars of ranches at any given time, if that's disappearing, sign me up.

ColoradoAg watched Jordan Shipley play for Texas in not only one, but two different seasons where Texas accomplished more than any Aggie team has in the last 85 years or ever will again.

Forgive his bitterness. His Longhorn boss was mean to him after he delivered the wrong sweetener packets for his coffee this morning

I got no problem with either one of them. Seem like typical (state of) Texas baws, and the years they were there were some good A&M-Texas games. Shipley being the receiver for Stephen McGee (A&M’s QB) in high school made for good stories in the game.

I just recall Brent Mushburger going on and on about them being roommates every time the game was played.

My boss lives in another state, XWing. I work from home if not on the road. Try again

Fetching your boss’ Starbucks order is not “working in the road”

Seriously, what’s with the Star Wars thing?

Marble Falls area IIRC. And given how high those prices have jumped, he probably made more money there than he did in the League!

Two things you could count on during an ESPN broadcast for a few years: mentioning Colt and Jordan were roommates, and speculating if Brett Farve was going to make a comeback after he retired.
