I agree. Let your hot bats swing away. Could have been a big inning. Sometimes you stifle your own team's momentum; other times with the right batter, it's the perfect call.

Eh, it happens. Like I said, they're getting beat on good heads up defense. Carson's big hit getting robbed in the outfield earlier, Ellis making the play at 3rd there, and getting the out at 2nd.

I can't really put that on Carson himself. He is who he is. I put it on Mingione for not letting him swing through. He's been hitting .400 in the post-season but Mingione is in love with the sac bunt.

He should've been allowed to swing away, yes. But you comply cannot have a bunt like that and also make a dumb baserunning mistake.

They've left enough on base that they've started getting contact. The bottom of the order has never been great on the bases. It was a heads up play by Ellis on the bunt.
