SEC should drop to 6 conference games and 6 OOC cupcakes.

I think this is the way to go. We would all get 9 home games which means more revenue for the schools and more teams at 10-2 or 11-1. That we we can flood the selection committee with SEC teams.
Disney/ESPN said no more money for 9 conference games. So, obviously, they don’t care about that so they shouldn’t care about only 6 conference games either.

That would puts on even scheduling with Big 10 and ACC teams in actuality,
but you forget it's not really a football battle but a media battle.
All of the media on the side of the Big 10 and ACC will just run with the narrative and pound it into people's heads until they believed it.
It worked with the 9 games schedule.
Everyone in the SEC hated it at first now 3/4 of the retards here think we should switch to it.

All the other conferences right now aren’t doing everything they can to set up easy schedules for all of their teams. And the SEC just got screwed. Something needs to change.

Dude, I like the SEC because it's good football. I never watch the games where some SEC team beats the shite out of a cupcake. It's just shitty football.
I already hate the 3-4 cupcake games that most SEC teams have on their schedule. If the players want to be paid to play football, then they need to play and beat the good teams, otherwise, what are we doing? The key is to simply nix the auto-bids.

Nobody wants shitty games. 1 or maybe two max to get some freshmen playing time is it. Even though everyone was hand wringing over Florida's tough schedule, the fans and boosters loved having great games to watch every week. Everyone complains too much.

Most of the talking heads yesterday were pointing out the difference in scheduling between the conferences. They made a point to say the SEC was significantly more difficult.

Nah, marquee games or bust. Yeah, SEC is at a disadvantage compared to other conferences because we’re loaded with mostly good to elite teams. We’re already turning into PAC 12 where we cannibalize each other and most will get screwed out of the playoffs. Only way to fix that is to send some our teams to ACC or B1G so they can cannibalize each other as well.

How about just don't lose to multiple 6-6 teams. You can even probably get away with 1, but when you do it twice you get what you get.

No. Neither SMU nor Bama will or would be winning the CFP this season.

Yes, it's obvious the SEC has to do this.

And it gained us nothing, just more talking.
More cupcakes also gives the younger freshmen and sophomores more playing time and a chance to develope. It also makes them feel more like they are part of the team and less likely to portal.
For the upper level teams they get to rest their star players for the post season.

That’s a pretty stupid take. We got 1/4 of the playoff slots. Just because yall blew it doesn’t make it a bad system.

Agreed, and this is a very unusual year where all kinds of weird things worked together to produce the result - IU was inexplicably good, PSU did not crap the bed in any games, the SEC had no teams with less than two losses, SMU was inexplicably good. Most years will be more conventional, and most years 4 SEC teams get in. But that is because 4 teams will typically have 2 or fewer losses in the regular season.

Alright. I hate to see you go, but Adios MF'ers!

What’s this y’all shite? I’m not a bama fan. I just see other teams getting away with playing only 1 or 2 good teams all year and getting rewarded for it. I want that advantage for my school too.
Why put my school at a disadvantage by playing a strong schedule when the committee has made it perfectly clear they don’t care about that, just win games?
The big beneficiaries of this would be teams like Mizzou, USCe and AM.

To qualify for the CFP a P4 team must have 2 cross conference P4 victories. This will eliminate weakly scheduled ACC, Big 12 or Big 10 teams including conference champs. The Big 10 did a masterclass in scheduling even with Michigan sucking, that algorithm has to be eliminated.

So, with DSOR & WLOCP, that leaves UGA with 4 slots for 13 teams (3.25 years for 1 meeting).
IB, TSIO, & MSU gives Ala. 3 slots for 12 teams (4 years).
You sure your format is best?

No kidding. Not EVERYONE, but it is rampant...and not just in fandom.
