Congrats to most of the top half of the league for not slipping up like everyone in the national media (especially the national CFB media, weird hu?) seemed to rooting for.
I hope it hurts their souls to watch the Sweet 16 without a bunch of ACC or Big East teams and having to watch an SEC team play in almost every single game (and in one case both teams in a game).
I hate the conference pride stuff in football, but I have no issues with it whatsoever in basketball. It matters a ton and unlike football direct matchups during the regular season have much less bearing on "success" in the postseason like football. This year has shown that we can really all win at this sport (well, all of us except LSU) if we just build good programs with good coaches. Eventually we reach a point where somebody has to go home, but having almost half the league make the Sweet 16 is awesome.

People outside the south have LOOOONG been tired of the SEC and probably for good reason. Now that OU is in the SEC just add another sport (softball) where the SEC is going to dominate. The rich just keep getting richer. I hope they choke on their jealousy.

We would have to beat BYU, Duke, Houston/Tennessee/Purdue/Kentucky before we even think about Florida.
If we get to Florida then I'll (rightly or wrongly) feel like we got a shot if we make it through that stretch

Conference strength and pride has allowed the SEC to dominate. It's like the IVY League of sports. If you can't get into Harvard/Bama, Yale/Ga. etc. you can still get an offer from another member school. At least that's the way I see it.

People cry and whine about SEC basketball, but it all comes down to money. All of those who cry and whine believe that the money issue centers on NIL, but they're wrong. The money that matters most was spent on coaches and facilities. The conference made the decision to finally invest in basketball by going out and hiring the best coaches in the country. All of the current success can be traced back to that decision.

Softball has been legit for a long time. Oklahoma added just makes in retard strong. Bama, Florida, Tennessee have all won CWS and other SEC teams are no slouch.

Well you need Michigan State gone too. If we were to pull off the upset that would mean 4 freaking times we’ve played Auburn. I’m not dumb enough to believe we could see the Final Four. But how many times has that happened? 4 times in one season?
