It's 50K for the first offense, 100K for the second and even more for the third and subsequent.
The only thing I'd chang would be suspension of the HC for the next game to suspension of the HC to the next SEC game or post season game.

I’m getting the feeling that most people don’t actually want this out of football. They just didn’t want Kiffin to keep drawing attention to how absurd it is that we’ve never attempted to regulate it. Sad.
This is the dumbest shite ever and not surprised it’s OM fans defending it.

I think the NCAA has to make the rule change and can do so at any point in time. See the "Kenny Pickett rule" when he did the fake slide in the 2021 ACC Championship. That got brought in IMMEDIATELY following the game.
This new precedent is more likely to result in post game fines, similar to how NFL players will get fined for a cheap shot that wasn't called. Nathan Shepherd on the Saints got fined the day after their game against the Chargers for trying to rip Justin Herbert's knee even though he never got penalized.

player sits out the rest of the series. Not just till another first down, but the entire series
And then you get into the championship game. It's the 4th quarter, few minutes left and you need a TD to win the game as time runs out.
On a 3rd down your QB scrambles for a 1st down, but takes a nut shot stretching out for the 1st. He falls to the ground in a pain most of us can understand and needs a moment to gather himself.
Instead, he's out for the rest of the game and your championship hopes now ride on your backup QB.
But the good news is some team didn't get an opportunity to substitute defensively in some random game. That is somehow all that matters.
No thanks.

I think this will work. It's not just the $50K fine - it the perception the team is cheating when they receive the penalty. A one game suspension is a big penalty. Some coaches may test the rule or balk at it - but when it hits them and the publicity surrounding it hits it won't seem like a small thing.

Do you understand that Kiffin did it egregiously because he wants the rule changed?
He did it about 40 times in our meaningless non conference games. To make a point.

You poor, delusional, naive soul.

Actually, I remember Kiffin complaining about fake injuries his first season at Ole Miss. this ruling helps the uptempo offenses obviously.
Imagine a defense player pissed at his coach faking an injury just to
stick it to the coach.
