We lost divisions, historic rivalries, a sense that games mattered, added Texas and Oklahoma, which felt meaningless, and the whole quality of the SEC felt depleted.

I’d rather us go back to 12 teams and let the old Big 12 be competitive again.

This is a mess.

This was the most chaotic and entertaining season we’ve had in the SEC since 2007. But I guess because Alabama or Georgia didn’t win a title again it was a failure

LSU is a mess.

From 2000 thru the current season LSU has only finished ranked twice.

No top 10 finishes either.

You love to prove how similar UTrans and Aggy fans are

Who gives a frick where you finish the season ranked if you don’t win it all? Texas has had more losing seasons than 10 win seasons in the last decade.

LSU has won 3x as many National Championships as Texas.

Sit down, bitch.

historic rivalries

Like who? 'Bama lost Mississippi State, which aside from proximity, isn't some coveted rivalry game. Kept the barn and the volunqueers which are the only two we cared about.

Divisions were only around since 1992.

Felt like the SEC had as many ranked teams as it's ever had this year.

Only thing that's really negatively affected the conference is the meaningless feel to the SEC championship game. So, not really sure what you're so upset about.

Down vote and deny , I really don't give a rat's patootie .
Nick Saban was good for the SEC at large by consistently
giving other schools a target , a competitive drive to
be better. His loss is of course greatly felt at Alabama but it
was also a loss by the conference.
And no , it doesn't seem Texas or Oklahoma has added
anything but that may be just tied in with NIL & transfer portal changing
the college game into a whole 'nuther animal that's just now
getting underway and transmitting a lot of negative feeling.

It’s been 1 damn season, . And that is just football. We are in the middle of basketball season and the SEC is having a historic season conference wide.

Yall are some over-reacting folks…

Have a couple perma opponents and let the rest of the schedule go by previous year standings. Probably the closest you could ever get back to the og sec in the future.

Nick Saban left because he was about to become diminished.

The consequence that hasnt happened yet but I think will is the loss of certain rivalries because games have to be spread out

Your emotional rant may be valid but, this is all business and the SEC has to match moves with, if not stay a step ahead of, B1G.

Sustained success matters, all time wins matter, conference championships matter, but yes ultimately the natty is what matters most.

Btw uhh play doesn’t have 3x the nattys as Texas

So Demonstrably false to the point that I don’t know where the typo or mistake is.
