Where is Pinkle these days? He was a great coach.

Pinkel is still in Missouri as far as I know. I think he has a house at LOZ so I'm sure he's there quite a bit. Other than that who knows, but wherever he is I hope he's got a jumbo glass of wine. He earned it in my book. Lots of people get butthurt over 2015, but those are the ones who can't separate politics from football. He brought Missouri football back to relevance.

Lane looks like he could swing both ways to me if enough on one of his party binges. He just has that face/look. Like he would be down for anything if intoxicated enough.
Heupel is all man. frick Lane and his attention whoring self.

He is around CoMo quite a bit. Pinkle and Saban go way back. They also have the exact same personality or complete lack thereof.

Pinkel did more with less; in my opinion that’s a great coach.
I wonder about his relationship with other coaches? I can only imagine that he’s respected.

From experience, I know coaches need someone to vent and bitch to. After i get my arse kicked and my team plays like shite, after i talk with my assistants, i usually call an area coach ive known for 20+ years. He does the same with me when they are playing like shite. It shouldnt surprise anyone that if some of the conference coaches were on the same staff still keep in communication.

Doesn’t surprise me at all brother.
I’m just trying to point that out.

To me it was always clear Kirby had the utmost respect for Nick Saban. I don't know if they were friends so much as a family or mentor type relationship as you point out.
I'd say Kirby and Muschamp have been good friends for decades, including when Muschamp was at South Carolina. I also think he's pretty good friends with Shane Beamer from what I've read. I've also heard he's friends with Kiffin as you mentioned. Smart is also pretty good friends with Mike Bobo, who I don't think he's faced as a head coach, but has faced when Bobo was a coordinator at several other SEC schools. Bobo's now the OC at UGA.
In terms of the reverse, the only coach I think he disliked or was annoyed by was Dan Mullen. I think he's pretty indifferent to most of the SEC coaches.

Great reply.
My point is Kirby knows how to shut down Heupel’s gimmicky offense.
Kirby will share this with Lane and any other coach who watches film.
Gimmicky offense is broken.

Kirby and Saban are “friends” to a certain extent
