An apparent rift has formed between former President Donald Trump and the Southeastern Conference (SEC) ahead of his visit to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday. The SEC has barred Trump from appearing on the field.

Just like the other threads posted about this. It makes perfect sense why would the SEC allow them to use their platform for politics and possibly piss off any of their customers.

Like most of us say with ESPN, stay out of politics.

Good no need to add any additional trash to a field that’s already littered with trash

Exactly. It was a political stunt and the SEC said no thank you.

I’m saying this as someone who’s voting for the SOB.

Keep politics out of my damn sports. For the love of GOD, give me a momentary respite from reality.

I get this point but the broadcast was littered with Kamala ads. Don’t show any political ads if this is the approach.

Yeah, I can't understand why putting someone with two recent assassination attempts on open, flat ground in the middle of a bowl full of 101,000 people would be a bad idea either.

I wouldn't want Trump on the field nor Harris. Neither one is the sitting president and any appearance a few weeks before the election would be a pure political stunt. Keep politics out of football.

Exactly! And ABC nor the SEC minded one-bit allowing Kamala to run one of the most bullshite ads ever seen, twice, during the game last night. Nor does Skanky forbid Kamala from making appearances and being featured during women's basketball games with our activist racist head coach, et al. Nor does Skanky forbid SEC teams from going to the Whitehouse for campaign photo ops. The hypocrisy of it all is beyond debatable. It's all too selective. Skanky is a liberal progressive libtard yankee POS.

That has nothing to do with the SEC, those are sold by the TV station. Considering I am not even sure I saw a Kamala ad where I live, it is probably a regional ad sale.

So not really even close to the same thing

He came out on the field at the South Carolina Clemson game last year in Columbia.

He probably lost a lot of votes yesterday based on how many people were inconvenienced at the gates. That was unequivocally the biggest cluster frick I had ever seen and I was waiting on the riots to start. People were dissing him left and right.

I saw the SS was also searching cars entering campus which resulted in a bumper to bumper stand still as far as the eye could see.

She paid for those ads. He showed up because he knew he’d get a cheer and would pass it off as “see, the people love him!” There’s a difference.

Also the good thing about ESPN 4k on YouTube TV is they don’t show any ads.

Nixon attended the game of the century in 1969 between Texas and Arkansas but I recall he stayed in the press box for the entire game.
Just attending is enough. I agree with him not being on the field. And honestly it is not a big deal either. Some want to make a mountain out of mole hill.
