A&M won the regular season title in 2016, so imma need you to extend this back one year.

You have Tennessee with a total of 2 regular season and tourney titles, but 3 seasons winning atleast one.

Give me two seasons of winning both as opposed to four with one or the other.

Why the random date?
It isn’t random. The ‘17-‘18 season was a major turning point in SEC basketball… arguably the biggest turning point season in the 90+ year history of the league.
Going into that season, Kentucky had won 3 consecutive SEC regular season titles and 3 consecutive SEC Tournament titles. They had won 5 out of the previous 8 regular season titles.
Since then? They’ve now won just one regular season title in 8 seasons…now 5 straight years without one. That’s never happened since the SEC was established in 1933.
Meanwhile, in those 3 seasons prior to the turning point, here were the other three teams’ SEC records:
26-28 Alabama
21-33 Tennessee
16-38 Auburn
All three below .500.
Auburn and Tennessee shared the 2018 regular season championship… was Tennessee’s first in 18 seasons and was Auburn’s first in 19 seasons. Since then, Auburn and Tennessee have consistently been at the top of the league and have been the most decorated programs in the conference.
That season will always stick out as a major turning point year.

Alabama wasn't much better in the 2 years following that in Johnson's last year and Oats first year (under .500).
Since then..........

Interesting y’all don’t want to talk about all-time basketball stats and history.

Important to note that two teams went 0-18 in the conference in a season during this stretch.
Vanderbilt 2018-19
Missouri 2023-24
Vanderbilt 2018-19
Missouri 2023-24

I don’t think any Auburn fan has any trouble admitting that with the exception of a handful of successful seasons here and there, our basketball history has been abysmal.
Those days are long gone now though.

Arkansas has a great history and was light years better than most of us for the majority of the time between 1930 - 1995. Any all-time history list will have them up in the top 3 with Kentucky and Florida (depending on how you rank total history vs national titles). Bravo.
The last 30 years you have not. Currently you are definitely not.
