where he talked about rumors....rumors he didn't invent. Just piggybacking what others are saying. That proves he's full of shite right there.
So when candidate news, whomever it may be, starts leaking can I post about it and be considered an insider from that point forward? Anyone can post about rumors they've heard. That's no insider shite.

If that's not enough for you just ask yourself when did a cdc hire leak? They don't. He has that shite buttoned up.

And that's a valid argument.. which is probably true.. but there is also a rumor in the universe that the son of one of the big agents is a big longhorn fan who has leaked some things previously.. specifically related to Sark's position hires..

I'm not saying that is what this is.. but the guy has waited almost 10 years to throw shite against the wall for the 1st time? It's possible.. maybe even likely.. but it's also possible he knows something..

At the end of the day.. as I already said.. I don't know shite..

My money is still on Sully.

You're a good poster. I fear you are being fooled by a charlatan. I get it. I love Texas Baseball...probably more than football...and I want a big splash hire. CDC has taught me one thing. Trust his judgment. Outside of the forced Terry hire he doesn't make mistakes. Don't be disappointed if it's not splashy because he'll find a winner.

As for the waiting 10 years? Perhaps this was too good an opportunity to get under the skin of ags right before their shot to win it all? Pretty brilliant if that's his game

I think this thread has run its course until we hear more. If this "rumor" is true we will hear more about it in the coming days, and from more than an anonymous message board poster

One of the few times we agree on something but Amen to that.

Agreed.. I'll most likely be happy with whoever it is..

1) Vitello
2) Schloss
3) Sully
4) Johnson
5) Elander

That's my Top 5.. in order.. If I'm gonna miss, then I'm gonna take a big swing..

I'm not being fooled.. I have a better chance of Selma Hayek showing up at my door tonight.. but CDC has his eye on somebody.. and the options are shrinking as to who it is..

So far, I can see zero difference between Texas Longhorns and Aggies both are frick who sit here and run their mouth like they have money and they have done something. It’s the schools that neither have shite. Newsflash a-hole from what I see Longhorns act just like Aggies

You don't think Elander would say yes to the Texas job? He was born in Austin for fricks sake.. He would be a fricking idiot to say no to that job.. and if he does, then I don't want him.

But to your point.. if all of those say no.. then roll with Tulo and give him the best pitching coach on the planet.

Elander would be a great hire. I'm surprised SC didn't give him a chance

I think his point is that you first take your big swing..whether you hit or not. I agree with this method. Obviously there's no way on vitello or schloss but you'd be a fool not to call them. Yeah, they'll say no but frick it..make the call. Make them say no. Bama did it with Sark and I don't blame them at all.

At the end of the day, we probably get someone not in that top 5...but you damn sure better make them say no.

I spent a good portion of my youth in Austin, and it once was a charming town. One of the best. However, these days I wouldn't move back. Austin is just another city way too large for its infrastructure overrun by liberals and homeless.

You can say I'm full of crap but I know 110% that Jay Johnson, Schloss and O'Connor have told Texas a VERY firm....."NO".

Keep wishing on those.

I am no insider knowledge on others.

He is an assistant coach and Texas is a blue blood in baseball..
There is no chance he says no if he gets offered..

I'll ban myself if we swing and miss on all 5 of those..

damn you for making me agree with you yet again but some of what you say is true. It's way too big for the current infrastructure. Traffic is a fricking nightmare, even on weekends. Housing prices are laughably high.
Austin has always been a liberal city. I believe you are talking about the progressives who have taken over city government. On this point I agree. Those cockroaches can frick right off.
There are still pockets of old Austin. Hyde Park still feels pretty genuine to me. I do miss what's now gone, however.

You still live in Dripping Springs?

There is a gal that lives there who might actually know the hire if she still had her old job..

I believe Jay Johnson for certain. As much as it pains me to say it, LSU is probably the best job in college baseball. We all know that O'Conner just signed an extension. The last we heard from KR on Schloss was zero chance. BBP renovations approved for 80M plus ...

I agree with the Texas fans that CDC doesn't really leak anything on coaching searches. You will see a lot by what goes on outside of Austin, not from within the University itself

No, I need to update that. I moved to Belton about a year ago.
