Do I really need to remind you of the outcome of our game?
You're ignoring his point, but fine - I'll play along. Alabama won. They beat the scary HUNH team. So why is a rule change needed?

Kind of like the final score....don't you have some year-old Saban quotes to dig up?

the O also has the supreme advantage of knowing the play and when they will snap the ball.
So you are saying the D doesn't know what they are running? They are just out there reacting? Oh wait, the D tells the O what D they are in? Your arguments are complete BS. The only advantage the O has is knowing when the ball will be snapped. What you are really saying is saban doesn't have any advantages when facing a HUNH and you want him to have every advantage, because it has been proven that HUNH coaches can out-coach saban.

When Saban was out hustling everyone on the recruiting trail, they put a rule in that limited contact. i don't recall any opposing fanbse bitching about something that Bama and Saban was doing....they passed a fricking rule.
Now Saban doesn't like a rule and wants a change and is a "bitch". Typical Rantard logic when it comes to all things "Little Nicky" and "Bammer"

Saban is a whiny pussy who tried to back door a rule change. What an egotistical POS.

Okay, for all you folks who have read these pages - I want you to know that I am a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Hall of Fame so my opinion on this subject is far more valid that yours. You want me to name where I played? So sorry, I do not give out personal info so just trust me. After all, if it wasn't true, I could not post it on the internet.
This is about player safety. Then I assume Alabama and Arkansas will be announcing soon that they will no longer play in Championship games, bowls or playoffs. After all more games = more plays = more injuries (right).
Better yet, if 10 seconds prevents injuries would not more seconds prevent more injuries? So why now have the rule read you can not snap the ball until 5 seconds or less is left on the play clock?
All the HUNH teams are scared but Bama/Arky are the ones trying to change the rules. Does that make sense to anyone?
The baseball pitcher comparison (BTW, I am in that Hall of Fame also, trust me). Actually once the umpire signals the pitcher (sort of like what a football ref standing over the football does), a baseball pitcher can throw the ball even if the batter is out of the box.

Of course not. Everyone with a brain knows what it's about & as an LSU fan, I say leave the rules alone - it's not broken, there's nothing to fix. Let the HUNH offensive teams do their thing, either stop 'em & beat 'em or get better. Those in favor of this silliness should just man up & admit that they feel their respective defensive scheming is at a competitive disadvantage facing that style of offense. The proposed rules change is an embarrassment due to the SEC coaches support.

We all play by the same rules? Correct? So if the opponent has equal ability to sub. their defense, how is anyone harmed?
Are you really that dense? Ok. Let me draw this in crayon. The coaches asking for this change run a scheme that would never be effected by this...those teams that beat them, that they with to stop under bullshite pretenses, would have to slow down. Thus, Saban and cronies ONLY stand to gain by this rule change. Other coaches that run the HUNH ONLY stand to lose.

I don't recall other coaches hiding behind a safety issue, as opposed to just coming out and having a problem with it.

For the upteenth time, there was already a rule that coaches could not have contact with players, at certain times. saban skirted this by going on these players campus' and accidentally "bumping" into them. saban was breaking the rules, knew he was breaking the rules, and the NCAA said coaches could not go on campus' during this time period....to stop saban from pulling his bullshite. Other coaches were following the rules. saban wasn't.
