The homegrown qb who truly made Texas “back” and his fans hated him for it.

He deserves better.

LOL

Right as I was posting on the other thread I think he goes pro.

Good luck to him. I think he did a great job with the Manning name behind him the last two years.

Yet another rumored mega NIL deal that will keep him in college is foiled. I remember when Hog fans said Treylon Burks was going to get a big NIL deal to keep him.

Hoping he isn’t drafted “Mr. Irrelevant”. But Brock Purdy seemed to be ok with it.

Smart choice. I would not expect him to be a franchise QB, but this a down year for QBs in the draft so he has a shot to go late first round.

not sure I can remember a worse year for qbs, though I'd take Ewers before I would Milroe.

I mean as 3-4rd projects they’d probably both be good picks for a team with elite QB development.

I don't think he "truly" made Texas back. He was part of it, but to say it was him is a stretch. I do agree he took some unnecessary grief from many fans that are perfect at what they do in life and expect that perfection from the QB of their favorite college team.

The talking heads with close contacts to the program, like Bobby Burton, always said this would happen.

He's a good college QB, but he will not make it in the NFL.

But Ward, Dart, and Sanders before either of them.

He's not getting good money in the portal, so if he's gonna make peanuts, might as well do it in the NFL.

Imagine how far he has fallen. His team goes 13-3. He makes it to the semifinals of college football.

He starts the year as a possible first round draft pick. He ends the year with his football career on life support as a possible late round draft pick or even maybe an undrafted FA.

Beck just became the highest paid player in CFB, coming off a UCL surgery. The fact you think he wasn't going to make "good money" if he hit the portal is kind of funny.

He is still a probable first round pick, at the very least a second round pick. He's a better pro prospect than JJ Mcarthy, and we all saw where he got drafted. It's a down year for quarterbacks in the draft, and a lot of teams need them as the NFL as a whole has a QB issue right now.
