If you want to donate, donate to a local church or to a person you know.
There is a lot of grift and political frickery going on in Red Cross, salvation army, etc.

But you'll still vote blue no matter who, so your words are a bit empty.

No excuse for it.
Sure there is. The politicians you support took all that delicious FEMA blubber and spent it on illegal immigrant housing, food stamps, Obama phones for them, etc.
So yeah, there's an excuse. It's you, and people like you who support America Last Democrats.

This isn’t a political issue. But some have to make it one.
Of course it is. The robbing of FEMA to pay for illegal aliens is definitely a political issue.

Camp Ridgecrest. There are a lot of summer camps in the area.

Yeah….Black Mountain is one of the largest lithium deposits ever discovered. A lot easier to mine with no people living on it anymore.

Pertaining to the video: It seems like the military has had a pretty big response to this crisis, no? FEMA is on the ground, right?
No, they’re not. Watch the fist hand videos on X, not the news.

The biggest upset to SC was that duke energy was known to have accepted a 2 million dollar deal with Clemson on Friday (day of shite hitting the fan) to allocate resources to maintaining the Clemson Stanford game delaying assistance at least at the infrastructure level. It just is a pain point but not an indictment.
Not being discussed enough. That shite would never happen with South Carolina - we leave or play our home game at another team's stadium. Look at what those idiots in the upstate do.

By-product of the demented, monetized debt abomination we live in...$750 for Appalachians but billions for illegals and ferners.

For people that are not from the area, Clemson, SC is less than 100 miles from Asheville, NC. It is tucked up in the NW corner of SC.
And I agree that a football game is meaningless compared to this disaster.

Can you link the videos you are talking about?

That’s very likely true. No matter how inappropriate it might be at the moment.

I can't speak for what's happening in North Carolina, but the areas hit in Virginia are NOT encountering what this person is claiming is occurring.
I checked the police blotter for the town her site claims she's in (Concord, NC) and the number of crimes were no greater during this than they were at random other dates I was picking up (in fact they were down about 15-20% compared to the random dates I found). Feel free to check yourself:

So yeah, this feels very hyperbolic and not honest at all.

You’d be wise not to turn this into a political thread. It took a week to get useable water to the hundreds of thousands displaced by Katrina nearly 20 years ago and that was under W Bush.

Well and it’s worth noting, this isn’t a case where you can just bring trucks in with ease with supplies and such. A lot of those areas aren’t exactly easy to access WITH the infrastructure that has been washed away. There’s a reason the government is paying for rock/slate to be brought back in to rebuild the railroad in the area, that’s going to be the only way to get large excavators and the like in for that part of the clean up. There’s a reason they’re bringing supplies in via pack mules.
There’s a reason I-40 won’t be rebuilt in probably over a year’s time. The last time that area washed out due to flooding (that wasn’t anywhere near what it is now) it took several months to do it.
People are desperate for assistance. And people are becoming angry that it’s not happening fast enough. But this isn’t something that you snap your fingers and it’s fixed in a week.

The fact we continue to send Billions to Ukraine, but can only give $750 checks to aid our own is ridiculous. And I understand that the $750 is capped so that isnt a Biden/Harris issue, but it is an issue that our politicians should address. We are more willing to dole out $ for non citizens than we are for our own citizens. Give it 2 weeks and people will quit talking about this just like they did Hawaii
