Even as a LSU fan, I couldn't agree with you more. I hate those losers that dress up like that for football games.

The only time you ever see our fans wave pom poms is when the cheerleaders place them on our seat before the game. And even then I hate watching them use them. Walking around campus before the Auburn game pretty much every other frat I saw had a pom pom tucked in his back pocket.

i'm all for enthusiasm. the dressing thing is actually even funny. and it seems to be MOST well done by LSU. there is a togetherness in that whole movement down there. (not that it particularly appeals to me... but hey, whatever works)
glad you see it the sameway LSUbase. i honestly have the utmost respect for true blood LSU fans.

The only way a pom pom becomes gay is if the man holding said pom pom is also jamming them up his boyfriend's arse. In that rare circumstance, I guess you'd have a point and, yes, it would be gay.

For real... Pom Poms in unison look really cool, but I can't help but laugh when I see BAMA and Auburn fans with pom poms hanging out of their back pockets. Whatever suits you.
Concerning the LSU costume dress up thing. I don't know, I think it's a funny thing students do. Not everybody does it, but it is pretty unique and funny imo. I would never do it, though.

I don't know. I've been to UGA games and haven't seen it as coordinated as it seems at the two alabama schools. It must be some class there?
