What's funny is all these knuckleheads annointing Riley as USC's savior and they aren't giving any analysis to how terrible his staff is. He doesn't know how to hire a staff, and he certainly doesn't have a good staff out at USC.

"I'm sorry if the truth hurts but Riley said he went to USC as soon as they offered because he knew it offered him the best chance of winning a national title."

OU will win a championship in the SEC before USCw will win one in the Big whatever!!

So an OSU fan is trying extra hard to convince SEC fans that the big 10 will have higher ratings by watching & reporting what he saw on the SEC NETWORK???

Hmmmmmm..... I can honestly say I have NEVER watched the Big 10 network for any reason.

LA football market vs DFW, Houston, Austin, San Antonio & OKC?

Not today and certainly not tmrw.

Here is a fact from last year, and it is very telling.

With almost all the country starting on September 4, there were a couple of games on August 28.

Guess which game drew more viewers, Hawaii at UCLA, or Alcorn State at North Carolina Central.

You know which one did. With that huge Los Angeles and Southern California TV market...

Alcorn State-NC Central: 1,002,000
Hawaii-UCLA: 976,000

Source.

That's right. With USC and the rest of the Pac-12 off, UCLA couldn't even draw a million viewers and was topped by a couple of small HBCU teams.

Ohio State needs to be more concerned with having their Nuts cracked when the Trojans come marching in!

That is a concern. To be honest, I have never been concerned with the B1G west until now. It won't be an issue if the playoff expands but would be if they don't.

Good luck with OSU at USC ratings when the game ends after midnight eastern time. It makes no sense

OSU at USC ratings would be good even if the game is played at 2:00 AM.

The reason why it makes no sense is that for every OSU at USC matchup you have, you have more Rutgers at USC, or Maryland at UCLA, or Illinois at USC, or Purdue at UCLA, or whatever. Hell, you can even play those games in Eastern or Central primetime locations. No one is going to watch.

This move will create two or three interesting matchups each year, along with a dozen more that will struggle to attract a million viewers.

Agree but he is your moron. And is right on this one.

You know UCLA is in that market also, right? Is the Los Angeles TV market bigger than the southwestern Mississippi market? Because UCLA couldn't out draw Alcorn State. On opening night. When UCLA hadn't even lost a game yet.

Trust me. It's not.

Yes it is.

He has rejuvenated that place. Recruits are lining up. To be honest, I'm excited for the competition and a little nervous knowing what he might do with the resources around him.

You seem to forget that this is about more than just the occasional game USC plays against Ohio State. There will be far more shittier opponents on USC's schedule than decent ones.

USC could be 7-0, but when they're playing Maryland or Rutgers or Purdue on a sunny Saturday afternoon, far more people are going to be out doing something other than watching football.

you're the idiot he's leading around by the nose ~

every Southerner who knew of PF on radio in B'ham LONG before his tv days - understood him for what he's always been.

Pawl was Jerry Springer before Jerry Springer was Jerry Springer. you've always been Pawl's target fool.

Riley lost the locker room. A number of players were going to transfer out if Riley returned,

I see no reason to expect Riley to turn around the usc program He devolved the Oklahoma program from a playoff team to a team that barely got 3rd place in the Big 12 in a down year for the Big 12, even though he had 2, 5 star #1 rated QBs and 11 nfl combine invitees (tied for first with Bama).

RIley saw the handwriting on the wall, He could stay and fail and get fired, or he could jump ship get more money and extend his career....

As far as Finebaum, He thinks people in LA are like people in the southeast . He assumes they will get behind usc with some success.....But with the move to the Big 10 the ceiling for usc is now losing in the Big 10 CCG......not good enough for LA people...

You’re wrong. DFW is most definitely a Texas/OU market. Aggie not that big there. Texas & OU bring far more eyeballs to the TV sets than just Aggie being in the SEC. Austin/SA major Texas market. Only market that Aggie brings lots of eyeballs is Houston, and with the addition of Texas, it doubles the eyeballs there watching SEC football.

Does either Southern Cal or UCLA fill up their stadiums? Yes LA is a huge TV market, but is it a huge college football market?

That’s comical. Reference ESPN & Nike if you want to see what the players think about A&M’s market impact.

Spoiler: They don’t

A has been program and a never was. It wouldn't surprise me if Riley's success at SoCal is similar to what Chip Kelly has done for UCLA (which is shite).
