Ole Miss Fans... Are you still glad you gave money to NIL and didn't make playoff?

I am a Razorback fan. I believe that historically speaking our programs were pretty much equal. I do NOT believe that now. Your team is clearly toward the top of the SEC and we are still at the very bottom. However, you didn't make the playoff. I am curious if the fan base is willing to fund the NIL another year for a potential playoff birth or if that was a hard pill to swallow.

What say you?

It's still humming along pretty nicely. The way that they organized it was pretty resilient.

As for the playoffs, after we reload this off-season, we will see.

my guess is bama gets desperate and will pry Kiffin away

If Kiffin could stay out of his own way they would be in the playoffs, Kiffin needs to hire a veteran type coach to tell how stupid some of his decisions are before he makes them

the defense did it's job, it was the offense that cost them and Dart melting in the Fla game

Your point about the offense is accurate, however, Dart was a lot more injured than we thought. That's not an excuse, just a point.

Dart threw some critically stupid picks in our losses but the bulk of the blame is on our HC and OC. Honorable mention to our offensive line and RB coaches. Dart was far down our list of problems

I went over to Oxford for the UGA game (didn't get tickets, but had a blast in the Grove and the Friday night before the game) and noticed the option to round up or make a donation to The Grove collective when I was paying for some food at Oby's.

Makes it super easy for someone to help a team's NIL. Gotta wonder how much the micro donations bring in total.

The cope on the rant is that we went all in for one big year.

Most of the best players on this year’s team came from prior recruiting classes. Dart, Harris, Watkins, Lee, Prieskorn, Perkins, Ivey, Pegues, Dottery, Washington, Saunders, etc. were all already on the team.

The only recruit that we straight up bought and outbid everyone for was Walter Nolen.

Of course they are glad. They are in the midst of the best run for their program in almost 50 years.

Once we were legally allowed to buy players like Alabama the playing field evened up. Shocker.

Maybe that’s ole Miss problem, taking players from a team that knows how to choke away games. So good luck with Arkansas players.

Pooh Paul was amazing.
You have good talent.
Just a shitty HC that should have never been hired in the first place.

If we win our bowl game we will be at 3 10+ win seasons out of the last 4. Hasn’t happened since the 60s. Had the playoff been expanded last year we would’ve been in. I’ll take being disappointed by 9-3 over the old days every time.

The big money donors are the ones paying the bulk of NIL. The average fans donating 20 or 40 a month to NIL aren’t making this thing happen. I’ll keep paying what I do to NIL to keep Ole Miss in the national conversation deep into November every year.

I do it every time, and donate to NIL at its lowest level with the GC.

My gripe with NIL is not the amount but the lack of transparency. Fans were asking about Bentley not playing all year, and we were stonewalled as to why he wasn’t playing all the while being asked to crowdfund his fee to ride the pine.

Beyond that, the games themselves will be chaos in typical Ole Miss fashion. If we want to be even mentioned in the top of the SEC, we have to fund it and maybe the ball bounces our way

Absolutely it was worth every penny. Obviously not the way we wanted it to turn out, but it was still awesome ride.
