You have no idea, lol. It wasn’t even that close. I like our close games. Had to have been nice to be on the winning side though.

And it is completely legal. Instead of it happening under the table it is now in the light to some degree. Much less slimy than it was previously.

It's not, but if the cop just watches you pass by him at 100mph, then legality doesn't really matter.

You can't seem to use the quote function yet want to call someone dumb?

Main people crying here has been Bama fans. Suddenly this new system is cheating but when your recruits were posting commitment pictures with cars they can't afford, it was nothing to see here.

Bama was never going to lose a recruit because another school paid more under the table. Before things were tilted in favor of select schools. Now more schools have a fair chance and blue bloods hate it.

Players look at the VALUE a school has to offer. If you came to Alabama you got the best facilities, the best coaching, and the best everything. It gave players the highest chance of being drafted and fulfilling their NFL careers.

LSU and Georgia each out as many, and at times more, players in the NFL. Both LSU and Georgia have top line facilities. There is a long list of great schools kids can go to that Bama can offer. But Bama always has a top 3 recruiting class.

Again, this isn't that only Bama cheated. I know LSU cheated. I went to school at LSU. Some of those players never showed up after the first class. They had way nicer cars than they could hope to afford as a college student. But as much as LSU cheated, they didn't have the level of bag man that Bama had.

Breaking rules isn't really cheating anymore than someone not slowing down completely for a stop sign makes them a criminal.

There are 2 types of things. If it is something that would constitute to the majority of people as a "hook up", it's probably not cheating. I'm sure $100 handshakes(or more now) exist. I know first hand players/recruits that got what would be considered benefits that are against the rules. Sweet deals on a car loan, or whatever.

But these are just things that are hook ups, and they happen everywhere and always will happen everywhere.

Cheating is when you go out and you actually buy a player to come to your school. And I think that was more rare than people think. Especially in terms of coaches, because you completely undermine your authority. Maybe there are the occasional rogue boosters, but I think Alabama largely learned it's lesson. They started putting the money into everything else to create the value, that is what Saban brought and what he sold.

NIL made it where you can just pay them. I'm not sure to what extent that will affect things. You still have to offer them value and money is only 1 form/part of the value. It will be interesting to see how much money is spent on players vs the normal things.
