Yeah Vince Lombardi could not have coached a team with their top 6 WR's out and 4 OLineman out due to injuries then throw in 2 freshman QBs. A new OC and top QB in the portal should help turn the offense around.

If OU would have sucked the previous 14 years like Texas we would have got the easy schedule.

Lets roll with it!

For the record I hope OU wins 9 or 10 games and they sign Venables to a long extension. The rest of the SEC hopes he’s around forever

And who cares who we play in the SEC? Didn't we determine the SEC sucks anyway?

You guys got your new SECC rings yet?

It's only the teams we play that suck. In 2026 the new round of opponents will also suck.
The talk of us going .500 or worse a few years ago seems so long ago.

You're right. We'll probably get Bama in '26, and the SEC fanbases will say we have it easy.

I hope we can keep the momentum.

I felt like this past year was prime time for you guys to fall on your face, having your guy at qb answers so many questions. It feels like your staff and roster retention this off season l is the best it’s been under Shane . I can’t imagine usce backsliding this year.

Still will be tougher than Kent State, and Temple.

Well, when you don’t play 7 of the top 8 teams, you’re getting a good draw. No LSU, No Tennessee, Ole Miss, Bama. The only team you played that Bama beat, you lost to twice. Your schedule is easier than most.

You get a pass for 2024. It was very reminiscent of 2012 Mizzou, our first year in the SEC. LOTS of injuries. We went to Atlanta the next two years though, so you've got your work cut out for you if you're going to keep up with Mizzou in this conference.

Yeah. It's a new world for Mizzou and Brokelahoma in the SEC.

You're already doing a terrible job of keeping up. Keep up.

The league's schedule-makers didn't do the Sooners any favors last year, with a gauntlet of a slate

We've known that the '26 SEC schedule would be just a home and away flip of the '25 schedule for a while now. So the fact that it is rated a tough one is no real surprise.

Probably the most significant thing about this schedule is that because OU will be the designated the road team in this year's Texas game... they will get for home games instead of three.

Meanwhile, while Texas gets six of the eight lowest finishers in the SEC from this year on their schedule... they will only get three home games this year and play four road games.

Georgia and Florida are in the same situation because of their neutral site game.

OU is like Tennessee. Blame either the refs, the tough schedule, or injuries. Its never the fact your coach and players aren’t that great. Venables isn’t even a top 12 SEC coach but he can do no wrong

I totally blame our schedule and the refs for us making the playoffs. Bastards.

In all seriousness, what are you smoking? LSU spent the 10 years prior to Heupel’s arrival bitching about BAMA playing Tennessee.

Brent had better figure some shite out real quick....im tired of hearing about injuries and shite...training and treatment are all part of the program and it sounds like it's a deficient area if half the fricking offense is out. Every team gets the shite beat out of them week in and out...sometimes there's bad luck, but this many? Come on...I love oklahoma, but not to the point where I can't be realistic.

Pretty sure you aren't the standard. You've had a couple of 10 win seasons. Nobody cares.

Something tells me Oklahoma might not see one of these for a long time.

That's called delusion and that's okay. I expect that from midzou fans.
