3) Next time you want to start a thread like this, just go jerk off BuckI in your own private DMs. Or take it to the Big10 board. Because nobody here gives a shite about tOSU or USCw
They may never admit it but more people on the SEC Rant would rather watch Ohio State than Arkansas.

The 12 team Playoff is going to be a shite show.

The "shite show" was having a format for 4 teams amongst 5 conferences AND ALLOWING 1 group to grab multiple slots!

OSU cancels home and home with UGA

Oh I disagree because I think most rational thinking people would understand waht's happened. I think it's the exact opposite. I think some shite team that wins an auto-bid for winning their league making the playoffs while a clearly much better team in a strong league with more losses gets left out if what will have peopple riot.

I don't know about rioting but underserving teams are going to get in every year. 5 guaranteed spots to highest ranked conference champions so that means one legit team each from the SEC and the Big 10 and 3 who will get their arse spanked by the 4th best team in the SEC, who will probably not be in the playoff because there is only 7 open spots and the SEC runner up and Big 10 runner up (loser in the conference championship game most seasons) will have spots 6 and 7 most years. That leaves 5 and the third best team in the SEC will be one of them as will the third place team in the Big 10 most years. That leaves 3 spots for a group of 5 team and the second best teams in 3 pretend conferences. Currently, outside of the top 3 in the SEC and Big 10 and probably the 4th best team in each no one else deserves any consideration.

In today's era of CFB beefing up your schedule makes absolutely zero logical sense

They really should look at ranking the teams like the quadrant (NET) system in basketball, which rewards tougher SOS, punishes away losses less, etc.

Or, you know, they could have just kept and continued to improve the original BCS formula that was already doing this 25 years ago.

Would have made sense if there were just 4 groups.

I cannot argue with that. That was an issue with the 4 team playoff that seemed to have no answer.

Wouldn’t be the first time they got scared and backed out of a series. They got scared of Pruitt and backed out of a home and home series with Tennessee for 2018 and 2019 seasons. They got scared and called Tennessee and begged them to not play.

Why, so they can take a nap through that snooze fest conference game?

Arkansas plays against sec teams and those games will garner more interest than that joke of a conference you play in.

No one watches Arkansas unless their team is playing against them.

Most CFB fans watch Ohio State.

“Historic Grambling State matchup”, according to CBSsports.com

What a joke

LSU played them last year and could have scored a 100 on them if they wanted.

You are bringing up an article from literally 12 years ago and the reason for the cancellation is LITERALLY in the first sentence.

quote:

Ohio State has canceled a home-and-home series with Georgia because of the upcoming Big Ten/Pac-12 scheduling partnership.

Exactly. 1 group (minimum) was going to have no representation each year.
